SA to be last? Typical.

WA had been the slowest on the Covid uptake for the last few weeks - we must've been shamed into pulling our figers out and rolling up our sleeves. I had my first dose about 8 weeks ago, was able to make an appointment for the next day and the place was almost deserted when I went there. Might be different for the next one.

SA returning Olympians will have to do an additional 14 days quarantine despite having to quarantine in sydney hotels for 14 days and being fully vaxed.

Marshall and St Nic drunk with power here. let them go ffs

Isn't this exact situation (minus the Olympian substitute for a meatball man) the cause of the latest SA outbreak?

UK. I suspect the wheels are about to fall off the recovery there. It's by degrees but a 5% rise in cases over the last week.

"The “dip” has, however, been short-lived. The virus spread is speeding up once again as the impact of “Freedom Day” on July 19, when Prime Minister Boris Johnson ended all compulsory measures to reduce the spread of the virus and opened up night clubs and mass social events, begins to be felt."

Drinking the GOP bathwater again?

Yeah I mean look at you guys laughing at Texans for supposedly being morons and getting sick whilst their own federal gov pulling in over a million people so far this year rife with covid into their state. Keep telling the citizens of another country though to wear their masks like it's going to make one iota of difference against that shit show.

Herpa derp right wing herpa derp blah blah none of you actually care about the virus just all politics.

A rejig of the single bubble, banning trips to beach houses and a heavier ADF presence are among “big changes” to Greater Sydney’s lockdown, with NSW Police given 48 hours to redraft public health orders and get the state back on track.
Police Minister David Elliott and Police Commissioner Mick Fuller briefed the NSW crisis cabinet this afternoon, with Minister Elliott and Health Minister Brad Hazzard involved in a “fiery” discussion.
During the meeting it was decided that the NSW police force and their legal team “will go away and look at redrafting our public health orders”, Nine News and The Daily Telegraph report.
According to Nine, “police simply believe that, as it stands right now, the public health order is next to impossible to enforce”.
Among the changes, people who are going to their second residences (like a beach house) will be banned from doing so, and there’ll be a “big rethink” regarding the single bubble.
While it won’t be canned, police are expected to “tweak it” to make it easier to check that people are only coming into contact with their one nominated person. The NSW Government is also expected to request more ADF troops to come in and police these orders.

Lol Brad Hazzard fiery discussion. He really is a shitty shitty character.

Or have them not quarantine in Sydney at all and get a govt financed connecting flight to Adelaide. That is better for their mental health. Back in their he.state from the get go.

I don't want any more covid risk than necessary. Anyone coming from NSW is required to isolate because it's a massive hot spot.

The poor contact tracing team is overwhelmed. They can only resolve 50 cases a day and cases under investigation have been well over 100 the last few days, and trending upwards. It's only going to get worse. NSW has no idea where the virus is being spread until well after the event. But every day we get more of the same BS from Gladys.
