Pfizer-BioNTech booster shots reduce the chance of confirmed infection by a factor of 11.3 and reduce the chances of severe infection by a factor of 19.5. The stud was conducted on 1.1M persons above 60 years of age at least 12 days after the booster shot and at least 5 months after the second shot.

It's good to know. My two key questions are:
1. How long does the booster shot protection last?
2. How does it compare to a mix and match booster.

Obviously we don't have this information yet, but I hope we do by the time we get our boosters.

NSW recorded 646 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Two new cases were acquired overseas in the same period, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 67,480.

Sadly, NSW Health is reporting the deaths of eleven people who had COVID-19 – two women and nine men.

Two were in their 50s, one in their 60s, four in their 70s, and four in their 80s.

Perrottet sounds like he likes Boris’ style.

Excellent. Another oxymoron for the list, to go with friendly fire, military intelligence, sales force and social media.

South Australia has recorded two new COVID-19 cases today.

One case is a man in his 60s from South Australia who works as a freight driver (and 6 exposure sites).

The other case is a woman in her 50s who arrived from overseas and is now in a medi-hotel.

A truck driver has tested positive to Covid-19 at the border testing station at Yamba.

Exposure sites will be listed at Yamba, Blanchetown, Salisbury and Elizabeth.

Alerts have been issued for Caltex, Yamba, on Thursday October 7, between 9pm-9.45pm, at Blanchetown BP toilets, on Thursday, October 7, between 11-15pm-midnight, Star Laundromat, Whites Rd Salisbury North, Friday, October 8, between 8.45am-9.45am and Drakes Supermarket, Salisbury North, on Friday October 8, between 9am-9.45am, On the Run at Elizabeth has been listed as a Tier 4 site on Friday, between 2.30am-3am and 9.45am-10.30am .

The driver was South Australian, vaccinated with one dose of Pfizer and had travelled was returning to SA from NSW. He lives in a sharehouse at Salisbury and chief public health officer Nicola Spurrier says his housemates are being isolated and tested.

Lol

Some crazy woman commenting on a local news status in Facebook that everyone needs to get tested all the time, she goes twice weekly even when she isn't sick or been to a hotspot, that everyone needs to follow her lead and take this seriously as it's the only way to stop it, and everyone that isn't getting a regular test isn't doing the right thing

****, imagine living with that shit inside your head.

I knew these people were out there, but this is the first confirmed sighting of one.

Yes everyone, get a test when no symptoms, no exposure sights, no contact, and put yourself into isolation and miss work, do it or you will kill everyone.

Apparently they will let us know by end Oct about boosters.
Immunocompromised will get boosters first
Lol my partner is immunocompromised and was told by her GP and specialists that the vax will be kinda useless for her after her other treatments continue.
