From today's 681 new cases in NSW, I now know someone (2 actually) who have caught Covid.

Both in the 70+ age group, went for their first Vaccinations last week while positive (not good news for others at the Vaccination site), and also visited a Medical Specialist during that time period.

Medical Specialist required them to be tested before they could visit BUT saw them before the result was known so that Specialist and working staff now in Isolation.

I continually see this posted and it is infuriating.

The vaccination isn't made to stop you transmitting it.

It is made to assist in preventing you getting sick to the point you need hospitalisation or worse DEATH. The proof is in the pudding. No one has died In Australia who has had a double dose of a vaccine.

if you get the FLU Vaccine, you can still get the flu and pass it on. You just likely wont die from it.

The sooner morons get the vaccine, the sooner we can ******* move on from this sh*t show.

Like a very large % of elderly that took that wait for Pfizer stance earlier, current case numbers have seen them start to accept Az rather than risk the prolonged wait.

Blame various State CHO's for the mixed messaging and Media for the fear mongering leading to the low acceptance of Az earlier.

I don't know about other businesses but it is apart of our COVID safety plan that allows us to trade states that we must check all ID's. I think it was a government directive that regional had to check ID's hence no "ring of steel". I could be wrong but I thought the Government put that out there.
