The smaller the probability of an event, the larger the sample sizes you need. Which is why it's crazy when people say "The probability of dying from the vaccine is one in a million" - you'd want sample sizes >10 million to figure that out. The Pfizer trials had just over 21,000 per group

This guy got some bad press, when they took photos of him house hunting in swanky suburbs. It's offensive to his electorate and there were some who were following the money whose hackles were raised. Since then all this stuff about fleeing weddings, getting mean phone calls and now his electoral office coming under attack has become press. He has become a victim and has been forced to leave his electorate and move into the home he bought months ago. The poor.

Once the narrative around COVID is couched in terms of left v right(and it now is, often) it diminishes the actual impact of the virus and reveals the pre-existing agenda/s of those espousing them. That's all well and good, but these individuals who do choose to foist their political bias/obsession in to discussion should not be taken seriously(IMO).

When assessing the impact and the severity of the virus, in order to realise a relative unaffected, objective analysis, we should do so by, firstly, dispensing with whichever shitty, busted-arse political ideological lens you're welded to viewing literally every single hot button topic through.

However, it should be noted that the term 'leftist' isn't really indicative of 'the left' and has more application to those who are authoritarian in nature and, in actual reality, could be applied to the left or the right.

For some examples of this you can look to the website owner and his myriad minions and assorted deadbeat hangers-on. My advice(by all means, take it or leave it) is don't fall down that ideological rabbit hole and - if in doubt - simply consult the actual data and statistics about vulnerable cohorts, age profiles and susceptible categories etc when making an assessment.

People are scared of dieing.
The same people are making a health plan with their Doctor.
Instead of using a Doctor to give yourself an idea what you need to work on yourself.
They use the doctor to give them a pill to mask the symptoms.
Symptoms are there as an alarm, we aren't at the beginning we are well down the path.
Masking is not a cure, you have chosen the path of disguising your serious health issue.
You thank the Doctor(for some reason they all do) as they have allowed you to take zero responsibility for your own health.
You continue to follow the path that has got you to this point.
Then you argue with people about them needing to take a procedure to protect them, yet they have never taken responsibility for their own self.
You feel justified as you made a health plan with your doctor.

Who wants to grow older with someone with matching pill boxes, and a calender with the dates of your next flu shot or corona shot. Pretty sad.
