God I love Jacinda Ardern. One of the best leaders in the world, wish I lived in NZ. She even answered questions live on FB tonight addressing concerns residents had as they came through on the live stream.

Morrison is just a force for confusion and panic. Can not remember a more incompetent PM in this country, and we've had some absolute shockers.
She's been really very impressive.

Got a link for that presser?

Does anyone know if this situation is going to affect the next stage of the Moorabbin redevelopment? I heard it was due to start this year

More than likely. At present we've not got word that "worksites" are affected with closures, but much like anything there'd be restrictions and delays and unless payment and materials have already been organised and sourced, I'd imagine it'd be delayed.

I don’t care how good she I’m glad I live in Melbourne. I’m very great full actually. Lucky person

Housing, bills and food all more expensive. If you are starting out you could never get that house that would set you up without family help.
We’d moved from stupid prices to ridiculous, former family home sold last weekend for undisclosed sum but I’m pretty confident from the asking price it was around $6,000,000.

Prices will take a beating after this but we all know they need to, hell of a way to bring some change to the market but can’t say it’s not overdue.

I'm watching with interest what happens with the housing market. We are thinking of buying an investment property. Initially it was gonna be in 12 months but we might bring it fwd. Wait and see

Yeah my son is ready to move but I’ve cautioned him to just wait and see how things play out.

I’ve been following the share market as well but the wild swings haven’t quite hit the too good to turn up prices for the blue chip shares imo.

You sound a lot more savvy with this than me. There's a reason I'm 49 and haven't got a series of properties. In short, I'm a numptie

I’m not a an expert and we could be looking at a completely different market post covid 19.

I’d get some professional advice when the situation clears it will probably be money well spent. Everybody’s situation is different so what’s a good investment for some isn’t right for others.

Not many families will put in a bid at six million. Where is that?

True. I've got someone on board to speak to. I'm in no rush so will just see how it all goes

It’s inner bayside melbourne on an unusually large for the area 1/4 acre block.

It’s certainly not your average family home and would have always been an expensive property, the point is that gap has grown wider and wider between these homes in desirable suburbs and what most can afford to pay.

The problem is that many ordinary owner occupiers are going to take a bath in many places to get that balance back. Watching housing prices rise here had become a national obsession, well sometimes they go down or stay flat for years, maybe that is our new reality.

I must have started that earlier. I like Australia too. The system was getting imbalanced though and the cost of living was pushing people out of affluence.
I find it ironic that a miscroscopic virus has turned the neo liberals into a bunch of Keynesian socialists

Even the outer suburbs are getting stupid. You're telling me a house in Narre Warren is worth half a million?

Be careful what you wish for. Private owners can be great or appalling. You don't want your own Glazer family!
All I can say is lucky we don’t get cruise ships stopping here like nsw. Surely that is major reason out figured have stabilised and they haven’t. It’s great news we have stabilised because the figures wouldn’t really include any of the isolation things put in place in the last week if not more. Great signs
The Ruby Princess is going to be the cause of more than a few enquiries once this is over.

The narrative of how you big yourself up on stopping small boats from poor countries only to then let people in without passport checks on rich super vessels should f*** the LNP for years. But then I have no faith in the ALP to close the prosecution case that should be a slam dunk.

Mind you I couldn't have been paid enough to get on a cruise ship in June 2019 let alone early March. Enough horror stories of floating illness factories for me to stick to other forms of travel thankyou. Buyer beware

Overall the behaviour and hysteria shown by Australians (I’m obviously generalising) has been pretty embarrassing to be honest.
