I guess the question is what level vaccinated? UK is 65% fully vaccinated and they are opening up but in Australia, Gladys has suggested 80% and Andrews said 75% won’t be enough.
I think everyone should get the opportunity and if you are a Clive Palmer and opt not to so be it.
Thing is, from what I have read, most that are testing positive are doing so within 5 days of exposure. I'm no medical expert, but I would think if any of them are testing positive, they would have tested positive by now.
Britain is about to end restrictions (Freedom Day) but now Boris Johnson is in isolation as he was a close contact of a covid+ case. The irony

To be fair he was the only leader with the cojones to call out China at the start of this. He hasn't covered himself in glory but his BS pales when contrasted with the daily crap spewing out of Dan. I nearly spilled my Scotch and Dry when he said yesterday the extension was to keep the pressure off our hospitals!

What's the real reason then?
Next to direct deaths, that's been reason 1b for lockdowns around the world for 18 months.
In the UK many Cancer and other ops have been put off due to the Hospitals being full of covid patents . Over 80 in Hospital in NSW
We have 8 state/territory leaders and 1 Federal leader all looking to ensure they get re-elected. It’s no wonder we have such different messaging on COVID. They all have different agendas and 9 CHO’s who can’t agree on the way out of COVID.
The worry is even when fully vaccinated it won’t be enough for some.
NSW has 18 in ICU with a capacity of 1,020. Lockdown has circumvented a rush on the hospital wards.

That's in the UK. In Australia, wards have been closed (and left empty) pending the flood of Covid patients that never came. My mother's cardiologist is at his wits end trying to manage the influx that didn't come for treatment last year.

The real reason seems to be political points to be won because constituents have become addicted to being "kept safe".
As soon as it stops becoming a body count (and it should have by now as access to vaccines for the vulnerable has been for 5 months) we must open up. 50-60% increase in child sexual abuse reports. Small businesses shutting down daily. It's too high a price.

If regenerons monoclonal antibody cocktail together with dexamethasone produce successful treatment as per Trump then why isn't that being fast tracked as THE preferred treatment? Why are people still dying? Is it merely failure to get the treatment commercialised? Caution?
