If you can save the thread from falling into the 2nd page, you can say no to lettuce.

You've got this.

The idea of a garden bed appeals. I'm going to plant tomatoes this year because nothing tastes like homegrown. Lettuce, I DGAF about.

Hugs X

I like salads. I like lettuce in salads. Sometimes I like to chuckle and tell my lettuce-infused salads that they're 'looking rather Greek today!'

To be able to pick off lettuce as I need it, rather than buying a bunch of it and throwing it out, might be the pinnacle of human achievement.

I've heard that it is still a greek salad if you sprinkle the lettuce leaves on top Jamie Oliver style from a great height so a lot of the leaves miss the bowl.

ok i may be a bit of a pony today but ****nit im embracing my poniness

I've done some research on this. It seems that plain, boring old Greek salads don't have lettuce, but as we saw above and below The Ultimate and The Perfect Greek Salad do.

Fn troll.

The author of that article clarifies that the recipe itself is not traditional but you couldn't resist, could you?

The addition of crunchy water (lettuce) to that salad is not the only travesty in that recipe, nope... "@evelynathens" also adds minced garlic. FMD

All I read was that The Perfect Greek salad contains lettuce and garlic. Surely perfect trumps traditional?

That cut deep man.

Crazy pandemic years... iceberg lettuce takes pride of place next to caviar and Japanese Wagyu.

This is the new Greek salad:

Had some tradespeople here yesterday, attaching solar panels for a sun that may never shine again.

I could see them admiring the vegie beds, but not all 8 of them. Their eyes were drawn to the first two, the ones nearest their labours, the ones with lettuce.

It wasn't easy, but I kept watch my of the night. No lettuce was disturbed. Maybe a slug or two, but my partner likes to go out there with a torch in the evening and pick those off, cruelly flicking them onto the gravel and squashing them. She's kinda hot.

We might have more worries ahead, all of us. The cost to supply chains will only increase, now coming for our greenery, but what will be next? Tomato? Capsicum?

Armageddon awaits. Keep one arm holding onto loved ones, the other clinging to a shotgun.
Thought you were going to say they were admiring some other kind of green 😂

No money in that sort of thing. Lettuce is where it's at.

I've got bags of it, all pure, none of that mixed shit.

$12 per lettuce... but I fear that's just the tip of the iceberg.

This needs to be called out. There is no fun in puns.

As the days darken, as more of out fruit and vegie shop becomes subject to shortages an price hikes, how many more puns lay in wait?

Act now: shun the pun.

Dark days indeed. And this day just got darker. I now have an actual reason to hate our state government and the public service. Have just received an email saying that the temporary clubhouse(proper one getting renovated) at my sailing club has hit a hurdle in having its temporary liquor licence extended.

So I can't buy beers there over the long weekend. F U Dan. My anger level is at Defcon Cloudshouter.

We aren't the clowns who slip over at the beach. Even when shtfaced. That's you mate.

flipping nanny state.

f*n nanny state.

Not sure how to respond to this. Of course, it is a bureaucratic monstrosity and all-round horror show.

It must be some sort of mistake. An oversight.

Dan's Labor governs for all Victorians. There is no way he would do anything to make the lives of our captains of industry-turned captains of leisure craft more difficult.

He just needs to be made aware of your harrowing plight, and this injustice will be remedied.

I felt that was a pun of the highest calibre.

It took you the best part of 3 seconds to hammer me with a thumbs-down that would make Dave proud.

Savage. Just savage.

Why won't you just lettuce have some fun?
