Don't give up - you're needed to defeat the bin lady
Old bloke a few doors up has lived in the street since the early 80s. He’s a painter and has smoked two packets a day his whole life.

He bloody hates the Bin Lady.

Invite him for a stubby on your porch - he'll think he's mixing with Royalty

Well, my place does stand out a bit. My fence screams FU to the whole street.
Got the old bloke to paint the house a couple of years ago. All cash in hand.
Old school Footscray.

A thought - Andrew Thorburn could be UK Chancellor - he needs a job and is experienced in finance - would be an excellent fit in the set-up over there

Take care of yourself ole son.

I was planning on going up to Tocumwal next weekend. I just quit my job, mental health stuff, and was planning to GTF out of Melbourne for a week before starting treatment, am i likely to be able to get through?
I just spent the weekend in Tocumwal (which is hardly affected by the by the rain/floods).

The roads south are all closed due to the flooding.

We came back by heading east to Yarrawonga, then south to Wangarrata, then on to the Hume. That was no problem at all.

The potholes on the Hume heading south were all patched so I assume that they have patched the ones heading north too.

It only adds about 30-40 mins to the usual journey time so it's not too bad.

Got to stop guessing and use a letter searching line for them. The humiliation of not getting wordle out must be avoided at all costs.
Eldest son (who usually beats me by a line most days - smart b#stard) has graciously shared a similar strategy

Hopefully the road through Shep will be open after the weekend but if not, that would be the way I'll go.
And yeah, Toc won't flood, the water aint getting over that levee bank.

Road from Melbourne to Numurkah is open.
And people have been going to Cobram, so highway open beyond the Toc turn off.
Not sure turnoff to Toc.
