This is what I just slapped together, free range chicken, mushroom and walnut risotto with cauliflower rice with coconut cream, onion, garlic, basil, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, prepared by Chef Mike. Told you you won't beat what I eat.
Crikey!

That looks like a few Fri Sat nights after the pub type situations I've had.

I'm back, it only takes a good scandal to bring me back but reading the last few posts it seems I have missed a lot and I am not sure if I want to get to the bottom of it really, just make sure it's not soggy.

I shouldn't be enjoying the sledging this much.

Gotta hand it to Vicky Park for knowing how to dish it out but what JB, SR, and Otto are serving to Gimpy is next level. :tearsofjoy:

I am. Only use every once in awhile.

As I heard it can turn into a Addiction
I used it many years ago, and found it not very good.
I now use Rescue Remedy products for sleep and to calm me when having mri’s or injections, which I struggle with.

What did it do that you found it not very good?

Normally I might take 2-5 in a Year at Most but had 2 on Wednesday/Thursday. Not 1 since

My experience with Valium was as an aid to sleep, and yes it worked. But it was an awful sleep that meant I woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck.
Just awful.
I am a guy who prefers science, give me a pill anytime over some airy fairy new age remedy.
But the Mrs got me to try the sleep remedy, and after about three tries it bloody well worked. Good, calm, refreshed nights sleep. A revelation.
Now I use the pastilles. If I put my head on the pillow and after 10 minutes If I find my mind racing, preventing sleep, I suck on two pastilles and 10 minutes later I’m asleep.
The success with my sleep prompted me to try the pastilles when having to have an mri. I don’t do confined spaces well since a bump on the head 15 years ago. The pastilles make mri‘s tolerable, not a complete solution, but tolerable.
I recommend the rescue remedy brand to anyone who has issues with sleep or anxiety. In fact I was on a tour in Italy a few years ago when a woman complained about not sleeping. I gave her some pastilles and three nights later she had a good nights sleep.
I cannot guarantee that they will work for you, but as they are made from flowers there is zero risk of them doing any harm. Just don’t expect results day one, seems to take a few days.

I don't have trouble falling asleep but I have trouble getting a solid 7-8 hours, normally wake up after 5-6. Do you think that will help with that?

It's interesting. There are some very well credentialed people who believe that the success of countries like Australia is going to be their very downfall when it comes to removing lockdowns. I've added the links below. They are 30 - 40 mins long so I am not sure if you want to sit through them but they really are interesting and it is always good to get different views.

JB007 you many also be interested in watching them if you have the time. Some food for thought.

Thanks for sharing Otto..............the Nobel prize guy highlighted an interesting point from Socrates.........yeah I I know everything is f kn Greek.

I can’t say, every person is different.
I can only ask why you wake? Is your mind racing/thinking of things?
If so I would recommend the spray or pastilles be at your bedside so when you awake you can try one ot the other to calm your mind and hopefully get you back to sleep.
5-6 hours isn’t bad anyway. I was down to 2-3.

I know, MRI's, I am totally claustrophobic and am near panic when I have one.

This may sound quaint, but the couple of times I've had an MRI I have prayed a decade of the Rosary. It's sort of meditation that focuses the mind on other things and seems to help dispel the horrible claustrophobic feeling (and those hideously loud magnetic noises)!
