Ahh, here lies the confusion for me because you started your original post with: "She brings shite to the table and not much more than Hutchy".

Which I took to literally mean 'she brings more to the table than Hutchy'.

They're hardly worth arguing over are they? Hutchy is an unashamed bottom-feeder with a chip on his shoulder who is desperate to be seen as a quality journalist. But deep down he knows that he never will be.

Whereas Wilson drifts around in the shadows, over-hearing snippets of the politics, and then weaves them together into something no one cares about.

What really irks me is their celebrity status that is shamelessly fanned. But that's the gig isn't it? 'Australia's best investigative journo' and 'the first lady of footy'

Herein lies the problem........they think they are bigger than the game and keep doing what they do....but we know better.;)

It's like they've ceased being journalists and morphed into 'footy media celebrities'. I reckon Hutchy will get the trenchcoat out as the weather gets colder too...
It's all very sad.

Two things I don't like about Wilson are that she can't let people finish their sentences without interrupting and talking over them. It's just plain rude.

The other thing is, as a Collingwood supporter, I can't help but notice that whenever the conversation turns to Collingwood, she screws up her nose and starts bitching. There are probably dozens of journalists who hate Collingwood as much as she does, but you wouldn't know it when they're on air.

To drag Jake King into that whole mess was just pathetic. Absolutely pathetic, and not to mention totally ludicrious from the get-go.
 
Hutchy has no respect for players or officials and this will ultimately be his undoing because he needs friendly sources that will feed him info. Most other journalists use a balance of positive and negative articles to keep their sources happy. Hutchy is only doing gutter/negative stories.
Just look how a smarter jouro, Mark Robinson, handled the Wallace saga, he apologised for getting it wrong and thus saved some credibility.
In the last 2 weeks it has been obvious that the broader football community has distanced themselves from Hutchy. In fact the Footy Show gave him the Gilmour story to try and improve his image.
Hutchy's carreer is in decline and it is only Ch9 that are saving him for the moment. There are many better journos than him that 9 could use (and probably will).
It will be fun to watch his career fall apart.

I think you will find Robinson acknowledged he was wrong and I am pretty sure he apologised.
As far as a replacement for Hutchy, he won't be from Ch9, there are plenty of footy media people with more credibility, screen presence and talent than him around. If Ch9 win the next footy TV rights, I am certain Hutchy wont be there.
You should listen to Eddie (who is still very powerful at 9) on SEN criticisng the media involved in the Wallace saga 2 weeks ago. Doesn't sound like a Hutchy fan to me...
His time is coming to an end.......and a beautiful thing it will be to watch.

I love it when the Footy Assified (joking, it's a good show) director, during a good discussion, shows us Crotchy trying to pretend he's just about to add to the conversation but nothing comes out of his besnouted mouth.

Got furious wiht his comment last night on FC when talking about north supporters and the 3rd tier.

effectivrely said who cares about supporters being hearded aroudn like cattle.

Shows what a total jack arse he is. He couldn't give a stuff about the supporters because it doesn't make for sensational viewing.

Why couldn't he interview Dunstall about Corads foot.
 
I heard the "who cares" comment also. He often derides the supporter base of clubs. Pity he doesn't commentate with Dunstall. He deserves a rice shower.

I disagree. I thought Richo handled himself pretty well, and was firm in saying he'd handle it off-camera. There are things that SHOULD be handled off-camera, and I think that's OK.

Craigh Hutchison is pure muck-raker. I really dislike him, and his "newsbreaker" thing on the Footy Show is just rubbish journalism. If he doesn't have a story by Thursday afternoon, he makes one up. It's BS.

Exactly - showed the contempt he hsa for the fans - and where his real interests lie.

A disgrace of a journo - if you can even call him that.

Typical stuff though - Caro jumped on him about that and Lyon said nothing. He is so weak.:thumbsdown:
