In this morning's press one of the scribes, who I had never heard of until twelve months ago, was likening Sam Konstas' selection to that of Greg Chappell back in 1970. There is no comparison, Chappell was 22 and had a couple of Shield seasons with SA behind him. Konstas is 19 and has half a dozen first class games behind him. We all knew of Greg and what he could do and for most of us Test selection was only a matter of time, Kostas on the other hand has come out of the blue. I will bet that Murdoch's Chief Cricket Writer Daniel Cherney wasn't even born when GS Chappell debuted for Australia.

If Kohli cops a ban, it'll be a repeat of Harbhajan Singh v Symonds in 2008. The Indians will threaten to take their bat and ball and fly home. No great loss, because Sydney will probably be rained out anyway .
