He is being earmarked, his form hasn't justified his opportunities but hopefully he comes on in leaps and bounds. I heard Hoggy call for him as well (Rod not Brad) so he obviously must have it

Just out of interest - how could you tell the difference? He can't bowl even when he is fit.

To be fair here, if Mitchy boys body could hold up to test match cricket (it can't but if) and maybe we weren't as blessed to have 3 pace men in our line up with 300 wickets each for years*, Mitch would have made a great number 8. When his body could hold up, he hit the pitch hard, swung the ball and hit the seam. I actually rate that side of his game and I'm one of the biggest critics of the Marsh family.

Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather Scotty at first change than Marsh (mainly because every time the ball gets thrown to Scotty you think "here's a wicket"...which strangely is the exact same words you say when Mitch is coming out to bat but Mitch is a handy player but if his body is not up to allowing him to bowl 12-15 overs a day then it is obvious his batting won't carry him at 6.

I think we got sucked in by getting a once in a generation player (Cam Green) and when he got injured thinking Mitch could step up. They are really different players, we have a genuine Jaques Kallis sort of player in Green (may not end up as good but he is a talent) and Marsh is more an interim player whilst the side finds its way.

*Obviously Cummins has a few more wickets to get to 300 but he'll probably sort that out next match.

Yeah, said the same yesterday. India were never going to drop one of their best matchwinners when India need the win.

India winning the toss & batting first sets the match up.
