Conversely, why isn’t Brad making an effort to turn around and face his senior coach and make eye contact while he’s speaking? Didn’t seem to be too much for his brother who’s sitting right next to him (I can’t see the other players in the room but I assume they were all looking at their coach at this point too).



I understand it was probably edited somewhat to look that way, but there are some things from Brad in terms of his attitude and body language in this clip that would ring alarm bells in any context.

People behave differently with cameras in the room.....

Maybe if the review wasn't being filmed with cameras in the room Brad may have spun around but who knows

That's a typical conversation had in football clubs. Common for a coach to say pack your bags if you don't like it.

We didn't see a board of actions as a result the meeting.
I'd be very interested to see tangible actions with names attached to this meeting, being 12 months on and seeing the same faults in either process or attitude is damming.

He is here for the rebuild. He wont have any part on the field when we aim to get back into the 8 in a few years time.

In fact, I doubt any more than 8 current players will be a part of our next premiership tilt in 5-10 years time.

I debt that there will be many of us supporters as part of our next premiership.

My guess is that it’s a midfield meeting and he’s trying to instal ownership across the coaches and players. And therefore doesn’t want to sit at the front as though he is the dictator. I think he chirped up cos he did not like the response and Godden doesn’t have the belief in himself to respond appropriately

I have sat in many a similar meeting where the Team Leader runs it, and their boss sits in the back corner observing until it's time for their bit, usually making everyone in the room nervous as all ****.

Keays didn't look disinterested, he just looked like he didn't have an answer, or at least one he wanted to voice in front of everyone.

Atkins was doing "guy who really doesn't want to be here because he knows the meeting is about something he did last week, but doesn't want to be noticed either". Brad looked like the entry level **** up employee who thinks he should be running the place and wants everyone to know it. Everyone else was pretty standard "Why couldn't this meeting have been an email? What time is lunch? Will anyone notice if I pull my phone out to check the NBA scores?" that make up 90% of frontline worker meeting participants.

In fairness the standards set at the AFC are so low, I dont blame Brouch for not giving a flying f**k.

That may change over time, but not in 2021 or as was the case of this video in 2020.

There's two edits of the footage about, one done by Herald Sun which removes all footage of everyone talking except Crouch, with extra inserts added to make it all look like it's directed at Crouch.
