Loving the $3 odds, might have to place a crisp $50 on the boys.

And we'll do more than tame the lions

Crows by 32 pts

Wish I was as confident as my fellow CROWS supporters in this thread, but living here in QLD I get to see all the LIONS games and they've been pretty good for most of the year, particularly at home. We did beat them here last year, but they were not as good then as they are now. Hopefully we can hold Brown to just a few goals and get on top in the midfield. The big danger for us is kicking a winning score. It has been raining a bit up here, so that could also be a factor.

It's hard to determine which team has more riding on this game. CROWS lose and we lose touch with the top 4, LIONS lose and they run the risk of missing the 8.

Pretty crucial game in the grand scheme of things.

As an Essendon supporter living in Eagletown I feel your pain brother.

Rest assured though, as a game consisting of two interstate clubs, we will no doubt get to see it in Perth as long as it doesn't clash with the West Coast Pissweaks game.

This is because "everyone in WA hates Victorian clubs and would much rather see two interstate teams play regardless of their positions on the ladder, quality of football or importance of outcome." - Commercial network guide to football telecasting in WA (1987)

You do know Ben Rutten plays for us?

If Bradshaw lines up in the Lions team it'll be difficult, but not impossible, for the Crows to win.

Charman is a big tough bloke that is hard to beat, especially since the Crows rucks are inexperienced. Shirley will probably get the job on Black.

As it's in Brisbane I'll be tipping the Lions, subject to teams line-ups.

You obviously don't rate Geelong very highly then
No I dont.

They are yet to beat a top four contender and lost to Collingwood, a team I rate as top four at end of year. They have only beaten two more top 8 teams than us. They lack a decent forward line and that will bite them in the finals this year. We wont know how good they truly are till they play Bulldogs and Hawthorn.

Hawthorn Style of play is a bit more complex and has other teams baffled and should hold up well in finals. Not to mention their forward structure is far superior to anyone else. We also saw an Ac up their sleeve with Buddy going into midfield, and not losing too much in the forward line. If they keep their cool they will win the flag. It is in their hands.

Hawthorn>Bulldogs>Geelong>Pies
