Interesting thread. Not all the family followed North before Cunners was drafted, some did . Some others did change clubs to follow North after, He should have a very good year

We're just happy to have the Cunners family represented here coffeelover. Good to see you posting more often lately too.

Love this video but how much bigger/better/badass is Cunners?? This was seen as a mini breakthrough game but last Friday's praccy game is twice as impressive.

He actually sums up the whole tuck moment in the blink of the eye. He glances up, calculates ball, calculates Tuck, and knows, if he doesn't do anything extraordinary, it will result in a ball up. So he jumps forward, generating extra momentum and force, wins the ball and plough's through the contest. You could say nah, that's a load of horse shit. But if you did, you'd be confessing to not seeing the Picken bump.

....
We are now 30 months on from that clip!! You'd have to say, that 30 months ago, you'd be expecting huge things from cunners at this point in time. By no means is Ben10 a concern for me, but I'd like to think this year, he's performances go right off the charts.

He has clearly developed physically, and as a player. Drafted in '09, 23 this year, about to enter into his 5th season of AFL.

4 years developing, 4 years at peak performance, 4 years winding down. The time is now. This year is going to be huge.

Having just watched this vid, and then watched the other one posted of last years highlights, he has gotten so much better. Needs to take control of more games, more often..... And have no doubt that he will.

with Jz's dad!!!!!

Mix their sperm together and find a willing virgin and we'll split the time space continuum with a firm stiff arm.

I'm all for backyard science jlind78, however I suspect your chances of success would be dramatically improved by replacing the word "virgin" with "participant".

He's just trying to remove any genetic inferiority in the form of disease.

Not always the case. There are early bloomers, late bloomers, players who drop off sharply, players who develop steadily, etc, etc

Compare the careers of Judd, Ablett, Wells, Watson and Cooney

It is always interesting to hear speak of Cunnington's slow development etc. He is miles ahead of everyone in his draft class save two or three players and has been for quite a while now. His last 30 or so games have been at a very high level.

We here have high expectations.

Was probably because of previous drafts and top 5 picks netting Buddy, Judd, Griffin etc.

I think he's gradually developed and may end up being a Jarred McVeigh in terms of draft position and long term value.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Ben10 become our best midfielder within the next year or two.

There's something very special about him as a footballer, skills, toughness and the ability to win the ball and put team mates into really damaging positions.

He and Jack are one helluva dynamic duo.

I'm pretty sure Cunner's sperm would give the egg a don't argue and continue down the tube...

Maybe, I've heard his sperm lack awareness. Something, something tackle.

Wife just caught me looking 'a little too long and a little too intently' at this. Made up an excuse that I was trying to work out which game this was from. She shook her head and said 'I'll leave you to it then'
What our female counterparts think is weird we think is normal. You're in a safe place jlind78.

Good excuse though. Far better than "I was practicing a new dance move, but i got tired so I decided to sit down"

He can do no wrong. I suspect scottywiper just developed an even deeper man crush on Cunners upon seeing this pic.
I'm reminded of a story JB told on The Cage (RIP) about an old girlfriend calling out the name "Ben!" during hanky panky ...
