The game looks super buggy and unpolished from what I've seen. The crunch would have been horrible and I feel sorry for the devs forced to push something out after delays.

I'll be waiting a few months for the PS5 patch before I play I think. The positive thing is that the Witcher 3 was like that at launch and was significantly improved over the year or so after release.

For anyone like me at work and trying to find a bit out about PC performance and stuff, then this might be helpful from Digital Foundry. I can guarantee also that it is spoiler free.

What I still can't seem to get a definite reading on (I know it's still early) is can I expect roughly 60fps +/- 15% with everything cranked (i.e ultra RT) on a 3080 at 3440*1440 using DLSS. They said here that they were getting 50-90fps with DLSS depending on what was happening but didn't say what resolution. Definitely not 4K (obviously) as they said a later video is coming for that at 30fps locked to show off the visuals. I'm assuming then they were on 2560*1440. At ultra wide I'll cop 45-80 for a single player game like this.

I guess I'll find out in 3-4 hours.
