Is character creation the first thing? Not really wanting to get stuck in to the game right away until Chrissy so I can open the Xbox X/finish Rogue Squadron or whatever the new Star Wars game is called, but am eager to have a look around at the... Customisation features. See if it can match AFL Evolution.

How are you finding it with the 1060? Mine was runnings terribly so I gave up in the end.

How low did you have your settings?

I'm hooked. I haven't even been doing many side missions. I've mostly been roaming around and doing random things that pop up.

Here are a couple night time shots. The lighting is nuts. I've definitely settled with film grain and chromatic aberration off. I think I can tolerate the chromatic aberration in some games but seriously I don't get the point in film grain. In some games that might not use the best quality PBR textures it can hide a few rough edges but in a game like this with stunning lighting I think it ruins it. Only let down I think are the shadows, they're not as crisp or defined as some other games. I don't know if that's the real time ray tracing though and if pre-baked lighting helps with shadows. Destiny 2 for example has some amazing and crisp shadows. Added a shot of a busy walkway too as there has been some concern of crowd densities. Seems to be really determined on time of day and where you are.

Also a question regarding when the prologue finishes

How do you know it actually finishes? I think I read a preview where the Cyberpunk title screen comes up? That hasn't happened so I'm still doing the Corpo prologue?

I am assuming the prologue finishes

After that first mission for Dex.

It is not uncommon for games to have a long prologue these days. AC: Valhalla didn't give you the title screen until you left Norway and I was probably around 15-20 hours in before I did that.

Man those reflections!! insane.

Your 3rd photo shows an issue I've seen a few people mention where there is a repeat of NPC characters, just in that shot alone there's 4 women with the exact same haircut. Made more obvious because they are so striking, still looks cool, but the NPC models don't look anywhere near as good as the world.
The lighting in those photos are absolutely fantastic though.

Hows the music? Any awesome Synthwave?

This game makes me realize I need to update my PC or graphics card at a minimum. Been chugging a long.

Just optimized the settings to stop the lag. Runs better but now looks worse than Witcher 3 (My PC was initiallly built for Fallout 4 so getting on).

Going to fiddle a bit more. I'm not much of a graphics snob though so as long as the chug is gone I'm happy. So far so good.

Very excited that I've gone in blind with this.

Definitely got "wait until I get a PS5 and that version gets released" written all over it, given I have a base PS4.

De
The more I play the more I like this. Just realised I've been playing flat out since 1:30. Haven't done much more of the story since the prologue has finished, I just keep exploring and doing side missions. Its fantastic, bugs are there but nothing that ruins the game for me
Yeah same, despite everything I've played about 6 hours on ps4. Starts to pick up a bit and really enjoying it.

Actually noticed that myself after I posted the screenshot and was analysing it! They even have the same clothes. Not really noticing it as I play (I might now though that I know) but I hope there is a little bit more NPC variation in a future patch.

Loving the game so far.

Two things that are annoying me.

1/ When you're a passenger in the car and you can see the driver turn the car without turning the steering wheel...lol
2/ I don't know if it's just me or not but the text on the bottom seems to bed and the text in the top right-hand corner isn't straight....

Other than that, loving it so far.
