Cyril Rioli or Lewis Jetta

I though wasn't critical of motlop or his performance in the finals
Cats fans seem obsessed with nominating a player each year who is supposedly better than Cyril and yet continue to fall short - anybody would think Cyril writes and calls his own fluff pieces with the amount of crap he cops.

No, we're really not.

I noticed cyril more on the replay

Smothered tippett a lot as well

I noticed Jetta getting knocked out by McEvoy, and getting beaten in a one on one by McEvoy. I think I saw him jog after Hill down the wing too. He was very poor, but not alone on the day

Welcome to the 3 Premiership Medals Club, Junior Boy.

If it was any other player, I doubt they would've been risked after a 3 month absence.
It's almost unheard of. But then, Cyril isn't just "any other player"

He was a long way from his brilliant best, but still an important contributor and played his part. He helped apply the insane forward fifty pressure which was missing vs Port Adelaide. He also set up a couple goals for Roughie with typically brilliant intercepts.

The knockers also need to consider that Rioli was minded by Sydney's All-Australian back pocket which meant Luke Breust played on Gary Rohan and kicked 3 goals.

Good job by Cyril.

Hopefully he can have some luck with injuries next season and dominate.

So why bother mentioning premierships as a yard stick as to how elite a player is?

If a player is his team's number one ranked player & it's in a Premiership team, then doesn't that make his ranking all the more worthy than say, if he played in a wooden-spoon team???....It's a lot easier to be the top player in a bottom side than it is in a Premiership team....That much should be obvious to any football follower surely!

No one would ever accuse LRT or Jetta of being the Swans best player in their squad ever!

Was Cyril ranked number one at the end of the year? Who knows how he would have performed for the remainder of the year if he wasn't injured.
