What you talkin bout willis?:D
Tiges will need to keep on eye on Beck, Smyth, Coe, McKenzie etc. Have heard a BIG in for the tiges with a specialist to line up on Beck

He would want to be good if he is going to quell K.Beck.

My take is that Werribee must start favorites, they have been clearly the best team for the year. However if Monash can reproduce recent form they will be right in it. X Factor being the pressure that Werribee take into the game. Anything less than a premiership this year will be a failure for them. This is a heavy weight indeed. Monash have none of this, they have hope but no expectation. Will be watching closely if Monash are close going into the last quarter!!!

Have a feeling that the veteran Brock Mackenzie might play a big role in this game.

I would have to disagree with that comment. Obviously we would want to win the flag to go up a division, but to go up after being in D1 for only 2 years would not be seen as failure, especially from a club perspective. Sure you can say that a club that only loses 1 game for the year and then loses the granny should have won it, but I wouldn't say it would be a failure, especially when the club lost 6 senior players from last year and picking up only 1.
Monash will be a formidable opponent with about 5 in from last game, so I reckon the pressure will be on them as they came down from C grade while we are going up.

My take is dry day tiges will win, wet day 50/50 werribee wont be playing injured players this year as they had to do last year. Also beleive there is more upside to the tiges than there is to monash after the 2nd semi. Im sure werribee will learn alot from the second semi as not all monash played in the last round. And finally which you will all agree they have proven all year what sort of character they have and was again proved in the second semi when they looked a beaten side 3 or 4 times but just found a way to win. Good luck to both sides aspecially werribee and may A.Taylor kick his 14 to reach the ton lol .

Werribee has noone capable of tying K.Beck's shoelaces let alone playing on him

I'm sorry does he play for that team that have been beaten by werribee 3 times this year?

Tie your own laces...... Muppet

Sorry I missed that - how many times have Werribee beaten Monash, TT? Does anyone care? Keep reminding yourself as you desperately try to convince yourself that you are still the best team. You deserve to start favourites but that just adds to the pressure on the Bees. Imagine winning 8 million games in D1 over 2 years and going up without a premiership! Monash have openly been playing for 2nd all year to get back to C Grade knowing they have some massive ins coming back in 2011 and not wanting to spend any more time in D1. Mission accomplished. Now we don't give a stuff what happens on Saturday - but oh yeah 2 flags would be quite nice especially if Werribee just tighten up a little under the PRESSURE

PS Very humorous talking about Beck being any sort of key - he is a chance to be playing in the ressies from what I heard. Might just be a few other lads that need watching too!

But Trevor, you blokes are up and about- team to beat.
We can't match up on your players that are struggling to get into the 22. Imagine how much the tiges will struggle to keep up with the rest.

Werribee then have to endure it all over again next year.

We might aswell board soldiers up and let it rot.

But who are we kidding...??

Werribee will smash monash, this weekend and all year next year too.

!00% agree, Werribee most likely will smash Monash, as they have smashed every side all year.

The problem is that they have to win, they have been too dominant not to. If they perform under this pressure they will really be a side to be reckoned with in C Grade.

Reminds me of Kew in C Grade Grand Final of 1987. Monash quite happy with the underdog tag then, quite happy with it now!!!

Absolutley hanging to watch this game! I'm confident the boys will get the job done but I still have those pre grand final nerves (just like 2008, and look what happened there!!)

The thing with footy is you have to be the best side on grand final day, not just the best side during the year......i know the boys down at soldiers are well aware of this.

carn tiggers

What sort of a suppporter are you to accept 2nd. Glad your not a Werribee man. We don't have to win, we WILL win you moron. Tell me what players are going to put ALL that pressure on the tiges. They have to get close to them first. tiges will run the pants off monash.

2 flags Trev?? Sounds like you've already banked the reserves flag, big call considering NOBS are going for their third straight magoos flag??

Good luck to ya...

There will be 1 club coming away from Saturday with 2 flags. Senior and U/19s.

Go the tiges

Good banter, and right on the money. Werribee deserve favouritism, but Monash have earned the right to challenge. Saturday will be amateurs footy at its best.

Only one thing to add. Monash love grand finals. The trumpet will sound moments before the bounce, KSF will root for the Ashes from on high, Monash will kick long with the wind and their attack on the footy will be frightening.

Good luck to all.

Regards,

Julian Kirzner for Prime Minister.

Lol used to love watching kirzner taking hangers for essendon reserves in the 90's.

Tiges will be focussed on the job and win well.
Big changes to Tigers line up will see Monash capitulate and wonder how they got so close last time.
Go Tiges:heart:

Attn Werribee posters: There is a difference between confidence and arrogance. A lot of the recent posts since the 2nd semi final win have come under the latter. Whilst you should be confident of a win on the weekend, I hope for your sake you don't lose as I have no doubt you will cop it on here in weeks to come should you do just that.

Going through the season with one loss (so far...) is a terrific achievement, and is the reason you will be going in as favourites. Good luck to both teams, but for me, Werribee by 23pts.

Smudger, from a players point of view i can tell you that none of us are over confident going into this weekend. Apart from the last rnd mishap by monash the games have been relatively close. Even when we beat them by 9 goals out there, the game was much closer than the final score suggested. We are taking some confidence into the game but from our point of view there is no cockieness at all. We know they will come hard. We still have a job to do and that is to put our head over it, do the 1%ers lock Monash down and all will fall into place after that. Getting excited!

Westy last chance for you to provide us with your take. Give us the changes in the side, if any how did that effect things, hows the preparation been, are the players prepared as you would want, tell us why you will win, seems you have been barred from this forum this year but have snuck in here and there im sure Kirky want mind you giving us your oponion on all thats football. And we cant seem to get much this week about what will be seen as a good year. And come on the mighty tigers may you have all the luck in the world.

Nice work Julian, welcome aboard. Courage and skill you do not lack.
Well maybe the courage could be questionable.

5 hours in the trenches tomorrow with two flags the reward. Can't wait.

I promise I will still love you tomorrow night Bocce. We will be humble in victory and not take cheap shots.

PS I am also glad I am not a Werribee man.

Les out.
