La Trobe v Therry
South Melb v St Leos
Glen Eira v Aquinas

Old Eltham vs St Johns
La Trobe University vs Therry Penola
South Melbourne v Emmaus St Leos
Glen Eira vs Aquinas

My tips for this week
Eltham vs St Johns JOCs should firm up a top 2 spot here, although the vast expanses of Turtle park might test their runners.
La Trobe University vs Therry Therry repay the favor this time after the students ripped home in the last 1/4 at Therry's ground 1st time around
South Melbourne v Emmaus St Leos ESL to use the opportunity to close the gap on the top 4,given that 1 of the Students or Therry will get rolled
Glen Eira vs Aquinas Danger game for the Sainter with both Boyd and Paterson on State duties.Sainters need a few to stand up anfd be counted, but they should still get the lollies
Old Westbourne vs St Mary's Salesian Going for a turn up here The Weaty's have been improving and they are always a chance at home ..particularly if it's blowing a gale

Old Elthamvs St Johns 50points
La Trobe Universityvs Therry Penola 24 points
South Melbourne v Emmaus St Leos 12 points
Glen Eira 60 points vs Aquinas
Old Westbourne 5 points vs St Mary's Salesian

A few jumping on the Old Westbourne train for tomorrow, lets hope for the clubs sake that they can really knuckle down and have a crack at the 4 points in the sure to be wet andwild windy conditions!

Hey siderwinder i think your being a tad harsh there because a win is a win no matter who you are playing so good on old westbourne

it was an iteresting round this one with some costly losses the Jocs lossing to Eltham dropped from second to fourth st leos loss almost puts paid to their finals hopes and eltham one game out and on the march .
The next round is going to be a cracker GE V uni boys a lose for the uni boys brings them back to the pack for 3rd and 4 th spot with the jocs, therry and eltham as it looks like certain wins for Therry v St Leos @ therry
St johns v old Westy @ st johns and the tough one Eltham V South melb @ sth I think eltam just in this one
I love this time of the years as we run into the finals

Oh goody goody. A wins a win. But at home against SMS? Well It kinda doesn't count does it? Enjoy the footy trip boys. Your Div 3 bound.

you come across as a sarcastic pr#ck, has your team never had a period where nothing goes to plan? We can't all be winners all the time, but when we are, it's nice to be gracious in winning and not kick the less succesful while their down.

Just having a laugh mate. Good on the Warriors for a great win on a nasty day. I'm glad to see them triumph against StMarys Salesian. We have all had bad years at some stage (nobody likes relegation). None tougher than OW this year I supppose. I bear no anomosity toward OW in particular.

It was a long drive out to OW for the SMS boys on Sat and an even longer drive back. Well for the seniors anyway. Relagation battle this week as we face Aquinas, if we get over the line we should be fine if not the battle continues.

Guru Out!

Well Lads, what a massive week in scheme of relegation/top 4 chances.

St Leo's need a win to keep any chance of top 4 alive, loose its over.
Eltham still in the hunt
Therry & Latrobe playing for that double chance.
Can SMS get a game 2 game bugger in the relegation zone?

Round 13:

Therry Penola by 29pts to Kill StLeos finals hope vs Emmaus St Leos
La Trobe University to give GE first loss of yr by 9pts (home ground advantage) vs Glen Eira
St Johns vs Old Westbourne
Aquinas to throw up the relegation battle by 29pts Vs SMS
SMD vs Eltham by 25pts to keep finals chance alive

Never heard of a 2 game bugger. Sounds painful

Like 'freebaser' I'm a bit worried about the SMS boys getting a 2 game bugger...particularly if they have to take it in the relegation zone.

Something like that could emotionally scar them for life.

Perhaps they could enlist the help of the Eltham boys to make sure it's not just the turtle poking it's head out....

Anyway-R13 is a cracker

Therry Penolavs Emmaus St Leos
At home the Therry boys will prevail and put the final nail in the coffin of ESLs finals aspirations

La Trobe University vs Glen Eira
I'm afraid I don't share whatafreak's optimism that Latrobe's home ground advantage will make up for the 72 point headstart they gave GE last time the 2 sides met. The students might be a better side than then ..but 12 goals is a fair start to trim off in 9 weeks

St Johns vs Old Westbourne
JOCs simply too strong at home, but fantastic to see the Westy's on the board at long last.

Aquinas Vs SMS
Aquinas didn't inspire me last week, but maybe they were keeping their powdeer dry to have a big one this week against the disappointing SMS crew. This game will have a massive bearing on how the lower sides approach the rest of the year.
If SMSwin , they could just about safely put the cue in the rack for 2011
...if they get rolled however all 3 of OW, SMS and Aq will have to find plenty in the last weeks of the seasonto ensure they see D2 next year.

SMD vs Eltham
The turtles are now the official 'dark hors'e, having replaced The Animals as the only other potential finalist.
SMD have been hot and cold all year.
But I have a hunch that SMDdown at Albert Park the bloods will put paid to the Turtles finals aspirations this week

sorry ill say it again, COREY MCKERNAN to play this week for therry. Anyone interested?
That's great news.
Is he the father of the McKernan kid who plays for Adelaide in the AFL?

Just taking the p155...
it's a great achievement (and marketing tool) for Therry to get such an icon into their club.
I know he's a bit long in the tooth...chasing 40 if i had to hazard a guess...but they always say the big guys don't get any shorter, and at D2 Ammo level he's more than likely to have a fairly large impact on games....particularly on any short, dumpy full backs!!!
Do you think he'll play thru to finals or just showcase a couple of games?

I think according to Strobes, Therry are just playing him for a few games and not in the big games. We've seen this as they didn't play him against Glen Eira, JOCs and LaTrobe in the last few weeks. But I think it would be a good idea if they at least played him enough to qualify for finals as an Ace up their sleeve, especially if there are a few injuries with forwards or rucks.

I guess we'll see.
