Went for a run around Prinny Park and saw one of Bentleigh's BigFooty posters running around as well as some fellow WBs.

Seems the end of November is drawing some of us coach potatoes out into the light and around the streets.

Maybe once preseason starts the quality of the posts here will be more to taskmaster's liking.

Ran into the Elsternwick Reserves coach this morning at the polling booths & he said that numbers at their preseason have been good. Might be a dark horse in 09??

The Wickers were Bentleigh's bogey side in 2006 beating us by a little & a lot, I think maybe that could still be fresh in the minds of both teams & games could go either way. The 2s games will also be one to keep an eye out for. :)

Taskmaster, im pretty much the only SMS person that gets on here a bit, and i have never gone on or talked up the club at all for next season. I have not spoken about any of our recruits for 09, i have never said we are going to be the best side or anything like it! I dont really think the bentleigh boys have done this either to be honest. So I dont really understand where you are coming from. Do you actually know what you talking about......

Hey griff, the salesian of old were a fairly old side, fair few bald blokes running around, with the merger is it still the same or is there some youth around from your under19's a couple years back and the new st mary's players???

Yeah bucks, it was a bit that way a few years ago. Now very different! We are actually a very young club now, most of the St Mary's boys are pretty young and yes there are a few around that came through that under 19 side.

A very good turn out at Bentleigh's first training run tonight with about 40 on the track. A good mix of new recruits, young & old players & some players from years gone by making a comeback.

itll be interesting to see how you at west brunswick go next season without your football machine bill irving if he makes the class at port melbourne.

do you have a readily made replacement or are you going to try & lure adam "stinger" cannane back to the club??

sniper, how was the feeling amongst the lads with the two new coaches running training for the first time??

pity im unable to be there this week as im in afternoon shift rotation but looking forward to showing up next monday & getting stuck in!! :thumbsu:

Long time no hear from you Stewie. I reckon there's a new enthusiasm at the club having 2 new coaches as the slate has been wiped clean you'd say. I think it's in the team's mindset that established senior players will have to prove themselves all over again for the new coach. As well as the border line players creating more competition for selection.

been on leave for 3 weeks, brother!!

thats how it should be... healthy competition amongst the lads to show they want to play senior football at demonland in 2009!!

hopefully they will as well & make our reserves a strong, competitive team which has the potential to be with the current players we have...

1: I do, i dont hide it, and in saying that, i also find baby jokes funny. For example, "Whats the difference between a truck full of sand and a truck full of babies? You cant unload the sand with a pitchfork." that doesnt mean i would laugh if i saw a person doing it.

5: I dont find emotional/financial hardship funny, I find the expression on his face funny.

number orders is not your forte? at least under your theory melbourne would still have had the #1 draft pick :) freo and essendon would be the big winners as they wouldve jumped up the order. Im trying to say I dont understand what youve done :S
