Can we get a name from the SFX boys on their number 15?? Or is that too personal? definately thought he was your player to watch from the praccy on saturday, and frankly i dont know anyone else yet???

Sorry Phantom, cant give you that info. It is to personal......... I would not take the no.s the boys were wearing as gospel anyway, just grabbed a jumper on sat, no no's have been allocated yet!!!

Go easy taskmaster. Surely the boys from St Francis just about have it wrapped up.

This is how "the crunch" sees it. In no particular order.

St Francis and West Brunny - both these sides are miles ahead of anyone else - Just ask them. Could rival Geelong for Australia's best football team.

Richmond - Picked up a country superstar and will ride his coat tails all the way to september.

Box Hill North - Competing with a local frisbee club for ground space. Not sure about these blokes - could be a smokey.

Bulleen Cobras - New Coach , New Players, New Attitude and same shit jumper. Will suprise a few teams. Go well/

Mount Lilydale - Copped a flogging in a recent Practice match against an EDFL Divi 4 club.

Kew. Beaten by both Hawthorn and Uni High in praccy matches. Can't read their form at all. Who knows?

Syndal - Apparently they have hundreds on the track and were only palying funny buggers with the superstars from St Francis.

South Mornington. - Will join the tassie football league next year as the travel will be a lot closer.

Eley Park. - No praccy matches at all but plenty of intraclubs. Can't lose when you play with yourself. Underfeated form is good form and self gratifying.

Albert Park - Picked up a playing coach with big reputation and will go well. Big Chance.

North Brunny- Lost a few to Therry but will be there abouts.

fair enough crunch man the forum went a little mad this week but i assure you that the playing group definitely don't consider us in anyway even near the cream of the crop.

a) we played club 18's last year and only just scraped into finals,we were belted in the first final. Our team has not improved drastically if anything we have baulked up numbers to field a magoos side.

b) we were smashed and completely outplayed by south mornington, who might i add looked like a quality team with a super onball brigade.

c) we played a good game against an undermanned syndal who had previously thumped our 2's 3 quarters beforehand, not to mention we had a 10 goal wind for 2 of the quarters in the later game.

While the obvious objective of any club is to have success, the whole reason we come to play amateurs is to play a brand of football that is purely for enjoyment without all the tall poppy sh1t that other leagues can often possess. We loved playing against quality blokes last year and I have no doubt this year will be no different. We will definitely be having an ale at all of your clubs and hopefully then, this sudden flair up and misconception of any arrogance can be put to bed.

That is all untill round 1. See you for a beer.:thumbsu:

Looks like you are in for a long year then.

Who do you believe? People outside the club talking it up, or people on the inside talking it down?
I think the World Beaters might be in the same position.
I'm sure there are clubs who'd rather not have their 'representatives' in charge of public relations on this forum, but it's not China so we are all free to do as we please!

Nice summary. North Bruns have lost more than a few (not all going to THerry). Eley Park will benefit from the Scotch facilities more than a interclub prac match, and Mt Lilydale's hiding might be a bit of a red herring... might be!! We'll see soon enough.
Where did the RC country superstar come from, out of interest?

Only 2 of our players from last year are playing at Therry this year.

We've had 2 move interstate and a couple head o.s. But that sort of stuff happens. We've picked up some new players though.

We will be quite a young side this year.

Violet Town... I believe there are a few other violet town boys joining some of the other D4 clubs as well? At any rate, Frankie is a past captain and has played 149 games for RC, so its not as if hes a ring in.

Reports around that the RC country superstar is officially the biggest thing out of violet town since killing heidi!

Love the call on south mornington joining the Tassie FL. Classic.

Duncan can use that in round 1 right up

Oh well, was worth a shot. Good idea on the jumpers in a praccy, you know "dont give anything away" and all that stuff.

Kew have a clash with both sides also.

We had to rent the VAFA alternate jumper... green with purple hoops... a delight! And they charge $150... naturally.

Since we have two teams with clashes this year we might get an alternate strip made.. and use them for intra-club praccies, training etc. We'd buy them for the club rather than sell them to players. Of course everyone gets a different number for those games :(

Lucky for Eley Park, Mt Lilydale and Bulleen that Dima is un available for 3 weeks. Watch out Richmond for his return. Its ok, Rooster will fill the void for the first 3 weeks. Dima???? Dima who???;)

You can just rack up you 36 possessions every week mate. And as long as Cuzz, I mean Modra is taking hangers in the square, we should be competitive.

Can I get the details for the St Francis Xavier/Superstars fan club. All this talk of St Francis is making me quite hard. I would love to get involved in all the hype.

It is called humor!! But if you want a part of it, then come down to Beaconsfield and join in the fun.
