The cricket pitch isn't a concrete one - its an astro turf style - I wouldn't say its any more dangerous than how all the grounds were last year in terms of hardness.

You were more likely to do your knee twisting in the outrageous pile of sand that made up the centre square on the ground you guys played on.

Easily the worst ground.

yes, no doubt the sand is no good... but i would rather a ball up be next to a cricket pitch that's covered in sand than just a plain old synthetic wicket...

i was just surprised that so many of them arn't covered...
(i haven't played in years) ;)

its one of those all weather pitches the idea of them is good but in reality they are stupid not to cover them up u cant run on them wit stops and to make things worse harder to bat on than the old synthetic

yeah, we played at elsternwick park last year, although it was wet... actually was fairly muddy that day...

Go Sharks...

Benno, we played on Sportscover Arena last year mate. Elsternwick Park ground is at the back of it, in its shadow. Played there about 6 years ago. Ridiculous piece of rubbish ground. More suited to have some kids play equipment on it than be called a football oval.

We didn't train on Scotch's ground, and have been happily training at Whitehorse Reserve for the last few weeks - excellent condition. We used Scotch's gym for a few weeks before Christmas - that's all.

And yes......Go Sharks!

Waz, just so you don't keep posting the same message over and over.

Kew vs Uni High - 30th march, other than that we are struggling to get grounds for games. The game we have against Uni we have had to hire the ground.

Finally... I'll come check it out :)

Any player in particular or all of them?

Well... Hate... in the nicest way possible!

They are decent blokes, except for one guy that knocked out a player of ours behind play in the reserves at KB. An Ambulance was called. Unfortunately for me the ambulance came in handy when I broke my wrist... Then I ran into another SMorn player from the reserves in emergency at the Alfred. Not a great day.

That's just your luck Waz. Another broken bone!
As for the player decked behind play......if no one saw it.....did it really happen??

RM, Maybe the top 2 or 3 sides would probably give them a run for their money as there are a few *******s playing reserves in C grade.

Don't be fazed by higher graded clubs as the standard of 2's footy can fall away pretty quick.

Hypothetical Question.

How would a top 5 D4 senior team go against a middle of the road C Grade Reserves Team?

They would get smashed! While not always a good indicator of game skill, how many D4 players can jump higher than a beer can? Very few. How many can really kick 50, not "ammo 50", real 50? 1...2, How many had their last ciggy 10 minutes before the game?....Blah, Blah the list goes on.

Ruck machine, save this nonsense for Jascave.

Nonsense? It was a hypothetical question. I never stated the a D4 senior team would win.

That is crap.

We may be hung over, but we not about to have a smoke 10mins before the game !!!

Yes we are. And at 1/4, half, 3/4 time and any time we're benched........

As for the hypothetical, I played B grade a few years ago (15) and the ressies was a pretty good standard. Not quite at D4 seniors nowadays.........We also had Club 18's which was for those in wheelchairs and on crutches back then. Now they say its better than D4????? No it aint. Just ask Mt Lilydale!

Hypothetical is jascave territory pal, you should worry about beating D4 teams mate before you get used to hypothetcally beating those in higher grades.

Oy Barry, go away, close the door & continue to give yourself those beatings you love so much.........

In the meantime we'll stay in our forum & talk abut beating each other on the footy field...

Did Mt Lilydale come up to D4 from Clubbies 1 or Clubbies 2 because there is a massive difference there alone. Last year in the final praccy match St Francis (Club 1) beat Whitefriars (Club 2) by about 100 points, then Whitefriars ended up playing off in the granny I think and St Francis only finished 4th in Clubbies 1.

Are you stupid? I never said a D4 would win. I was attempting to establish what level D4 is compared to reserves teams of higher grades.
