St Francis by a goal or two over South Mornington
West Brunswick by 20 goals plus
Kew by about 4 goals
Big score from the Warner Brothers onsuch a wet day.
Dissappointing final round for a few: Centrals, MtLily, AP,
BHN obviously went on their end-of-season trip early:
Cobras lose to Tally Ho last week and then get over Ruck Machines mob this week.
Football is a funny old game.
Looks like it'll be a good finals series!

Great effort by Eley Park, they wanted to win it far more than AP in the last quarter.
Before the questions come, yes AP were resting players (5) for the Elimination final, but this does not detract from Eley Park's effort.
It is 22 v 22 and everyone has the ability to put their body on the line when it matters. The sharks were harder and more desperate for the contested ball.
Great contest betwen Viola and Brown, with Brown taking the points in the one on one contests.

Why on earth would you rest guys when you still had a chance of getting the double chance. Would have been plenty of egg on faces if Sth Mornington had gotten over SFX. They were 4 goals up at half time.
Surely its better to go into finals with winning form. By just mentioning that you rested players does detract from Eley Park.

Said congratulations, we got beaten by a better team on the day, Pizzari was great and NB played better footy than we did, not blaming anyone and yes the ump was on his own and im sure he did the best he could, however he simply didn't know quite a few rules (Holding the ball out of the ruck, advantage rule) i personally liked the bloke, quite a funny personable guy, but he definately needs a refresher course.
I understand fully our disappointment but we had opportunities and didn't take them. The game was played by two sides desperate to finish on wins and to send out a number of retirements out on good notes.
Not sure what the penalty is for umpires who do not turn up, but in a close game fatigue of an umpire on his own was always going to be a worry, I think both sides were on the end of good and bad decisions. Syndal never really mastered the wind yesterday which was swirly all day, never sure whether you were kicking with or against it...thats footy.
Nth Brunswick is a great club with very good people running it.
Its been a frustrating year for Syndal, but I'm sure all sides outside the five probably have similar stories - good luck to all the sides contesting the finals, I think the 5 were the best teams for the year and the ranking probably right wouldn't be surprised to see a team from 4-5 do very well.

Can't understand why you would rest players. Looking at the results the top 2 definately didn't rest anyone. Flirting with your form is a dangerous practice.
WB as expected, margin bit more than I thought though

BHN still not stacking their reserves? Bulleen finish off with a win anyway
Sharks in an upset - Wouldn't have thought AP would be resting players but maybe they had a few with minor injuries, who knows. Good win by the sharks to finish of their season anyhway
South Mornington almost held on, just not quite. stating the obvious but SFX have to improve for this weekend!
North Brunnie in a thriller from all reports, pity the umpiring had an impact if what is said here is true

we won cause we were prepared to work harder in ordinary conditions....

great effort for a small forward who spends a lot of time in the midfield - worthy recipient
very dangerous if you don't man him up wherever he is across the ground
there are some quality forwards in this league too, viola, sudholz, whiting, that big guy from SFX and, even mcdermott in his own side so horne did well to take out the honours

It was agood contest Saturday between Cerra and Horne....Crazy, who do you think won that contest, tough one to pick hey?

Cerra would have just won the points on the day. Horne kicked 3.4 and sat on the bench the whole last quarter. Same could be said for the clash between Mutton and Varga?

Congratulations to all teams for another great season of footy in D4. Well done to the 5 sides that made finals, definitely the best 5 teams. Should be a great finals series which anyone of the 5 teams could win.

Richmond by 6 goals, were missing a couple of key players last week against West Brunswick, centre half and full forward for Richmond too powerful for Box Hill. Wouldnt be surprised if a full strength Richmond team make the finals.
