Will the Old Scotch guys be playing in the Reserves/Seniors?
Game 1WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
North Brunswick $ 4.50 $ 5.00 $ 45.00
Monash Gryphons $ 1.20 $ 2.20 $ 2.60
Game 2WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
South Mornington $ 1.40 $ 2.40 $ 3.40
Manningham $ 2.80 $ 3.50 $ 14.00
Game 3WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Chadstone $ 7.00 $ 9.00 $ 31.50
Mt Lilydale $ 1.10 $ 2.40 $ 2.00
Game 4WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Point Cook $ 1.80 $ 3.20 $ 4.10
Richmond Central $ 1.90 $ 2.90 $ 5.50
Game 5WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Eley Park $ 3.00 $ 4.50 $ 9.00
Swinburne Uni $ 1.33 $ 2.40 $ 3.00
Seem like pretty fair odds.....So I'd take Mt.Lilydale over 39.5 followed by Point Cook over 39.5 into Swinburne over 39.5...$2-$4.10-$3-with a $100 outlay. Where do I wire the money and more importantly how do I pick up my winnings?????
Game 1WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
North Brunswick $ 4.50 $ 5.00 $ 45.00
Monash Gryphons $ 1.20 $ 2.20 $ 2.60
The odds are just bollocks. NB will be a good team this year, just no idea if they will be VERY good. MG to win, but no way would you back them at these odds.
Game 2WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
South Mornington $ 1.40 $ 2.40 $ 3.40
Manningham $ 2.80 $ 3.50 $ 14.00
I'd be amazed if it wasn't a close game. SM are under the odds for sure. Cobras have gone down there in the last 2 years with inferior teams & pushed them at Citation. Cobras.
Game 3WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Chadstone $ 7.00 $ 9.00 $ 31.50
Mt Lilydale $ 1.10 $ 2.40 $ 2.00
The Chad are getting some recruits pushed through on the clearances page, but still MTL for mine. Double your money on the +39.5.
Game 4WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Point Cook $ 1.80 $ 3.20 $ 4.10
Richmond Central $ 1.90 $ 2.90 $ 5.50
Tough selection night in both camps you'd imagine with the numbers these two teams have. Toss of the coin. RC to uphold the honour of the D4 traditionalists & take the chocolates.
Game 5WinUnder 39.5Over 39.5
Eley Park $ 3.00 $ 4.50 $ 9.00
Swinburne Uni $ 1.33 $ 2.40 $ 3.00
Swinburne seem to have been very quiet, and then a few little spruiks recently. Swinburne to remind the rest of the competition that they are about.
Good luck fellas - one training session & its on!!
North Brunswick towelling the GryphsI can't remember a first round when there hasn't been a surprise score... Which game will it be?
Big out for Swinburne this weekend with their Captain expected to miss due to the impending birth of his daughter?
Could help Eley Park a bit.

thats why they are posted on a vafa d4 forum on the internet and he is not getting a cross over on sports tonight for the latest odds
I am only 24 and still playing in the Eastern League so,i have never been on a commitee but im sure i will be when my time as a player is up so i can stay involved in the game that i love.I have had one indirect involvement in your club and that experience would definately make me question all the cliches and crap you profess to be about at the cobras. But the season starts this week and im sure thats what people people want to read about so i will let it go until there is not so much to talk aboutI don't know the blokes apart from on the training track - and the one practice match that I've been at. I've got better things to do than dredge up any history on them. If they turn out to be detrimental to the club then I guess I'll think back to your post & acknowledge their issues then.
Are you involved on a committee Bromberg? If you are then you'd understand & acknowledge the hard work that volunteers put into trying to improve their clubs. 'Progressive' is about improvement.
I don't really care if you think I've got no idea. I just try to help my club.
All away for me so I'm a little nervous not picking one home team.
North Brunswick vs Monash - 4 points. Gryphs always talking themselves up this time of year but have yet to bear any fruit. They should be strong winning 6 games in D3, so they will win... just.
South Mornington vs Manningham - 10 points. Cobras for me but I think the road trip to SM will be one of the tougher games for the year. I pick this as match of the round.
Chadstone vs Mt Lilydale - 50 points. I hope Chadstone can do a little better this year but can't imagine them getting close in this game.
Point Cook vs Richmond Central - 20 points. If Richmond play any of the Old Scotch guys look out D4.
Eley Park vs Swinburne Uni - 30 points. Surely Swinny haven't fallen so low as to lose this match.
On Swinburne did they end up getting new facilities? I remember there was a rumour awhile back this was happening.
Congratulations to the swinburne captain on the early arrival of his healthy girl 'Rosemary Jane'. i'm sure the razors will welcome the newest razorbabe. Word is he may sneak down and pull on the boots. expect big things if he does
Yes we have new facilities and they look great. Unfortunatley they will be the only thing we will allow you to enjoy when playing us at home, except a nice cold beer after the game of coarse. On Swinburne did they end up getting new facilities? I remember there was a rumour awhile back this was happening.
Just to welcome Pt Cook into the fold, there will be a full set of whistleblowers running out on Saturday as well as a contingent of VAFA brass.
Make sure the guys parked up on the northern end keep the cans uncracked until after the game!
Hope both sides have a great one, Snakes to win by 11.
Too many people picking far too many away teams for my liking.
This is the VAFA, not the AFL.
Home ground advantage does mean something here.
Anyway, on to my tips:
Monash Gryphons over North Brunswick by 11 points - Tough first-up game for the Gryphs, but the class of Wells and Pocock up forward should get them over the line. Agree, should be a great game, if NB get within 11 points I think this would be a good result for the club moving forward.
South Mornington over Manningham by 33 points - South Mornington hold one of the best home records in the division and unless the Rose brothers can fire this one is going to go to the home side. I think it will closer than 33p, a tough one to pick, the post game report will be interesting.
Mt Lilydale over Chadstone by 47 points - Chaddie will be better this season, but with Varga, McKenzie and Co sure to be ready this should be an easy one for the visitors. Varga & the Mckenzie bros are playing in the two's, expecting Chadstone to have improved with their recruits.
Point Cook over Richmond Central by 44 points - This is the home banker of the week. With sharpshooter Russell Mark sure to be lurking around the home rooms, the VAFA's newest senior club can make a winning start.
A bit like the SM & Manny game.
Eley Park over Swinburne by 12 points - Morrison and Prior are always tough to match up on for the Students, but Quinn and Viola can get the home side over the line.[/ Which Viola are you referring to, isn't David out for a while??
One more sleep! It's MILES better than XMAS
PC... any word on JG?
