Agree, teenagers always wear something that is going to shock the older generation, I have no problem with that.

If we want to start having ago at the youth (i.e Gen Y), why not slip in Gen X, the generation that complains about Gen Y, yet does nothing about it.
In your case Mantis, just tell the kid to move his bag, don't hope that he will because he clearly wont move it unless he is told.

I take enormous pleasure in telling people to move their bag so I can sit down. I'll almost always choose to confront someone rather than take another free seat, just on principle.

I normally just start to sit down..if they don't move thier bag well tough.
I also like "i am so involved in my music and pretending to stare out the window" when having to give up a seat for someone who needs it..or when the bag is on the seat. But i seen some older types do it.
It's just the whole package that annoys me. Guys and their girly ways are just letting the brotherhood down and bending over at marketing more than over.

A few weeks ago this dude was chroming in the back door way and started at yelling at some girls who were sitting while an old woman was standing.

Another bug bear on PT, getting on the train in the morning, when it is packed, the school kids get on & stand in front of the doors & immediately take their back packs off & drop them on the floor, so when you want to get off, you have to clamber over all these bags, I am so tempted to kick them out the door as I get off, maybe one day I will be in a bad enough mood to do it.

I'm young, and it pisses me off endlessly that I am apparently expected to give up my seat for any adult. I will always give up my seat for an elderly person, but **** me, if you're a 30 year old man you're probably going to better equipped to deal with the rigours of standing up on public transport than me. Many people write in and complain to my school about young people not giving up their seat. To all of you, get ****ed.

We use to always get complaints. If you're not disabled, elderly or pregant, **** off. You aint getting a seat. Many people dont ask me though, maybe I have that scary look. Ha.

What is *** clothing anyways? people have different opinions. I dont dress as one genre only. I'll have days when I dress casual, basic hip hop clothing, skate shit, nice going out clothes. I dont dress in shirts that have fluros or wear bright coloured clothing.
I hate metal clothing, it's ugly and disgusting.

No but i am sure he will look the other way if an older person needs a seat. It seems unless u really are old and decript and have a walking frame the seat is not given up. I have seen 55+ woman have to stand while some young school kid and his bag look the other way.
