It's sweet that you care so much and are worried but really, needn't you mind. We're just waiting for Reid's contract to run out and we'll take him as a FA next year when Waite retires. Remind me to thank you for developing Reid for us.

Lol.. You won't get Reid.
Required player and Bucks rates his attitude and actually gets along with him. As you guys have mentioned multiple times in this forum collingwood barely have any players now cause everyone is leaving... So we have plenty of room in the cap to chuck Reidy an extra bone or two :)

Plus, any offer you make to him we can match. At best you'll need to trade us for him at which point we'll request a first round pick or Mark Murphy ;)

Do you guys really wanna pay this guy $700,000 a year?
If he gets back to 2011 form (amazing) then I guess it would be ok. But it seems like a large gamble from you guys if true. Mick must really want his man. Either way, Daisy has been a great servant and will always be remembered as a collingwood premiership player - not as flog. Many pies supporters being way too harsh.

As for the Collingwood B&F, was actually excellent regardless of delisted players not turning up. We're due for a culture change and anyone who doesn't want to rock up is basically showing that the club was right in delisting them! Haha...
Shaw not being there is a bit sad.
Daisy not being there was semi expected and all but confirms that he will be yours in the coming days.

Agree with all that, gamble is huge but we do have cap space from Betts, Laidler and Hampson + 7 delistees so there could be another big fish to come.

Wasn't Daisy effectively uninvited instead of not wanting to go?

Was he??? Possible I guess. I'm not 100% sure.

Either way, he's going to be a Carlton player very soon. And, should he stay injury free, he'll be a very good one. Will hurt to watch him kick goals against us.

Gees FIGJAM and that fat head tonight milked that cringeworthy 'side by side' rubbish dry at the b&f.
Laughable how deep their heads are in the sand in regards to this FA stuff. Happy to go calling riewoldt while st kilda are looking away but when a great servant of the club informs them he's leaving and as part of his jurisdiction as an AFL player exercises his rights as a free agent to accept another offer, gets completely and utterly hammered directly by supporters and indirectly by the coach and president.

Moreover nice work for Dane Swan to declare he's a pie for life with 2 years left. Easy to say when your nearing the end of your career just as free agency is introduced.

Welcome to carlton daisy.. A football club run by genuine football people.

can someone tell me why carlton didn't go after a KPP when waite is about to retire and can't get on the field, casboult and rowe are poor and Jamison is also getting old.

Henderson is only good young one, yet you went after another midfielder when u have judd murphy robinson ect..
well u can't exactly get a good KPP now in trade period after u throw 750k at Thomas...
First of all, the off-season has just started so there is plenty of time to either trade or draft a key position player.
Secondly, don't know where you got the ridiculous 750 grand figure from, because that equals to 3 million over 4 years and there is no way he'll be even over 650k.
so please if you're going to have a conversation and ask us questions, at least have the facts straight first.
no offense

Collingwood and Richmond close to being equal on the level of hatred from me, then Essendon third but a distant third compared to those two.

Level of hatred for other teams changes due to circumstance, but those three are constants.

Absolute contempt and hatred of Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond. Really hate Hawthorn and North Melb , don't rate the rest.

If Thomas goes down we can then expect double the dose coming back.

Swings and roundabouts and all that, makes our sport/rivalries all the more fun

So how's this for a plan... we let Daisy fall through into the draft. Pies don't get their pick, we get one for Eddie (two-pick swing). Main parties who might have the cap space and the desire for Daisy in the draft are GWS, Brisbane and Essendon*. Daisy can make it clear he wants to stay in Vic. Roll the dice on GWS (or anybody else) picking him up, and take him with our 2nd rounder before Essendon* have a pick. If we do miss out we still have an additional good draft pick and we have plenty of cash to throw at Adams or a KFP.

I reckon we'd be lucky to come away with a double dose if that eventuates...would be venom of the absolute worst kind...

Anyone out there who was around when the salary cap penalties landed? Must have been pretty hard to be a Carlton poster on BF I would've thought...
