29 disposals. 14 marks. In the best players AGAIN. Great leadership in the last five minutes. Might be time for you to take the blinkers off..

Ease up. This isn't about right or wrong (for me anyway). It's an opinion. Daisy has been good this year and was good again today. Doesn't change my opinion. With the changes needed to the list, what needs to come back in, his age and injury history etc and being on a one year deal I don't believe he will be on the list next year. But if he is he will have earned it and good luck to him.

Unlike you I will assess on the evidence over an entire season. Just enjoy the win :thumbsu:

I’m a fan. Playing some great footy. Still has his issues though. Could tackle more. For a smart player, he sure does some dumb things. Could have easily given away a 50 early on just inside their 50 when they took a mark and he threw a stupid elbow down on a players back.
Still happy he’s around as an influence for the kids and nobody is pushing him out right now, but still shake my head on occasion.

You've hit it on the head. He is a good influence. He does show a cool head, he has a good season (so far) BUT he also has brain fades which is a concern (banana kicks on the run, starting scuffles etc).

He has to maintain his form to be any chance of staying on the list, but I'm rapt he is having such a good start as I think the CFC need him. When the younger players improve enough to displace him (on current form) we are a team on the rise.

Role players are very important to teams, whether challenging for a premiership or languishing at the other end of the ladder.

Not every player is capable of being a matchwinner. This again applies to teams both at the top & at the bottom. Richmond have role players who don't hurt the opposition. Hawthorn had them, Geelong had them.

He wasn't recruited as a roll player

I'm happy for what he is producing this season, but he has a long way to go to square the ledger

If he earns an extension, great, it will be because of his football, not his name.

I'm sure his football and his value to the team will be why he is retained.

It just goes to show how unlucky daisy and carlton have been. I mean who has had a better season so far? Cripps , who else? ed and fisher. He has been fantastic, he is absolutely fearless for his size, no wonder he's been injured all the time. I never thought i would call dale thomas tough before he came to carlton but he is, and boy do we need that, too many sps and weitering types in the side.

14 marks last night. 10 the week before. Shows his work rate around the ground and his willingness to run to the right spots to create passing options. These aren’t cheapies in the backline but more towards the wing which opens up our options going forward.

Really hoping that Daisy's body stays good for another season and a half so he gets his name on the locker.

No need to knock young blokes down when putting over a thirty year old hardened career professional like Daisy.

If Weitering and SPS are soft when they hit their prime then feel free but they're both still growing into their bodies.

I'n not sure what ledger he has to square (unless he's doing some work outside the club as a bookkeeper). The one thing that can be said about Thomas for the duration of his time at our club is that he has always given 100% both on & off the field. Unfortunately in his first couple of years at the club his body was holding him back. With his body not so badly impacted by injury, he is now playing very good football & would be in the Top 5 of our B&F at the moment.
