Literally could not have played this situation more poorly....
Chased Perryman and Cumming, failed with both. Talk a big game about holding onto Dan Houston unless the deal is excellent, and in the end get destroyed by the exact team who outdid us for Perryman in the first place. Not only did we end up on the arse end of the deal, but we also publicly showed our dismay at the deal... only to take it the next day!
There is a reason why certain clubs are perennially in contention. It's Collingwood this year, it was Geelong last year.

Obviously deal looks awful for losing Houston
I one of the few Suns fans who didn’t want to lose Luko.
Some positivity
Luko can kick 50 goals next year. He kicked 39 in a team which finished in the bottom 4 in 2023.
While Rory Atkins can take some kickouts in the sanfl and play kick to kick with Dylan Williams. (Sucked the vfl umps into giving him votes and finished 2nd in the JJL trophy)
But certain know the feeling of being fked during the trade period

This time next year, after finishing 10th, we will send Bergman, Butters, and our 2026 F1 to Hawthorn for their 2025 first rounder because we need to get back into another superdraft.

A back to back AA player for a flakey guy who finished the season playing VFL, a 9 game small forward (because we don't have enough of them), an ex Crow that the majority of the supported base hates and a pick that will maybe still be in the first round depending on bids etc....
So much for 2 first rounders......
