Normally agree but the draft after around pick 7 or so is so even out as far as 30. You could make an argument for many players falling within that later band based on differing factors. Richards would probably cost us around 39, so that gives 19,22,23 and 39. If we can convert Soldo into a top 30 , that would give us some quality picks in the top 30, before even bringing in Barrett , Burgoyne and Montgomery. Not sure say a pick 2 on its own from North would outweigh all that.

This would be terrible for Port unless we find a way to package two of those picks for a top 10 pick. 22 and 23 are = pick 7 on points.

She's such a stupid mole. 27 year old dual AA. A completely bankable proven durable A grader. Nah, not worth it. Way better off taking the the chance on some unproven kid from the Oakleigh Chargers/Xavier College who has a 50% probability of being no good.
 
If Port maintain a good relationship with Houston through this such that he is happy to come back to the club, then you are well and truly in a strong position to get maximum trade value for him.

I think your only "weakness" is that you have Lukocious wanting to come to you and you presently have thin trade capital.

Do you need to trade Huoston to get the picks to satisfy GC, or can you do a trade for Lukocious irrespective?

Why are we giving up a top 5 player to another team that is going to contend for the flag next season and making them stronger?

This club is a joke if they decide to trade Houston for picks 19, 22 and 23 + Richards. I don't want picks 19, 22 and 23 even if its a strong draft.

I think most would prefer to upgrade the current 2nd pick for Luko, even if it involves trading a player (Soldo) or two, and using our future 2nd.

The future first would easily do it for Luko - but most here would prefer to not use it. It would have to involve getting a second back from GC

Lukosius can be traded for next years first so not directly connected.

Makes sense, Caro would only know Dan as one of the many spuds who has been preventing mastercoach Hinkley from winning a flag for years.
