He did a full pre season with the club before heading back. This is when he joined the club. He had the same pre season grounding as every other 2007 draftee.

Which means nothing as Dangerfield has done 3.

He is almost a year younger than most of the draftees in his year. The current AFL drafting rules would actually make him ineligible for the draft he got drafted in if it happened now.

So as far as physical maturation you should probably be comparing him to 2008 draftees as he is much closer in age to them.

That is why he was left in school for the year. His age meant we were not losing a year of his playing career keeping him in school.

His game's greatest strength is his strength so I do not think it is particularly unfounded for us to expect more out of him after a few more pre seasons (years).

I think he needs to learn to do one thing when getting the ball out of the pack, and that is dish it off.

He seems to get the pill from the bottom of the pack which is great, but then tries to run away from the pack with everyone within tackling distance. While i appreciate the endevour and it looks great when it works 1 out of 10 times, it usually just results in a turn over.

What I would like to see is for him to get the ball, dish it off to a team mate, then run away from the pack and receive the ball back.

His first instinct is always to take on the tackler or tacklers. Might have worked okay at a lower level. Needs to make faster decisions and have faster hands in close to get the ball out.
When he arrived at the club we had heard a lot about his blistering pace. We have seen little sign on it in matches so far.
Love his endeavour, but not his skills at present.
Spot on beartoo like all really excited by the Danger but it has been a very dissapointing year from him and doesnt seem to be learning as you posted by every time almost gets ball trys to beat tacklers and usually hanballs at his feet . Where is that blistering pace he has and evasion ability he has .
Players of his talent have to hurt opposition which is why chosen over Ebert who gets the ball onto boot more .
We tend to on here speculate on potential but reality as a 1st rnd draft pick in 3rd year should have done more especially with his amazing talent we know he has . The stupid talk about him being capt. might not have helped.
Still believe this kid going to be a top player for us but cant say he wasnt dissapointing this year.
