He's talked up this time every year and like Lovett and Pearce he's chopping it in the unaccountable pre-season. Stick a tag and watch him crumble when the real stuff starts.

actually last pre season he was held back by leg injuries and serious personal issues in WA

i dont have him at the moment but when you are doing your research on wells have a look at what his avg was after he came back mid year from his injury

its up to you to decide if he fluked 10+ solid games in a row once he got his body right or if he has become a great player

There are actually quite a few potential "bargains" around the 450k-500k mark, and he is definately one of them.

Yea mate, i got them from the Superfooty website where they tell you the best performers in SC in the NAB cup and stuff.

Kinda regret it, but its early days.

Thing is when he averaged 130 in the preseason his DT average was 130 as well.

I usually like picking players with a good SC/DT ratio.

Wells isnt one of them.

However you make a decision and you live with it.. waaaaaay too early in the season to be sideways trading, as much as i would like to.

Not feeling good at all.

A first year player Cheney tagged him out of the match.
And he scored 40 DT points in the last quarter in what I presume was junk time.

This compounded by the fact I had serious money on him to beat Brent Moloney of Melbourne on DT points.

Edit: Although I had a lot of SC specialists fall over.

I thought he played real bad round 1, yet he managed to get 82 SC with a crap effectiveness.

AHH, mayb i should have gone with NDS after all, but who knows, Wells might pull out a 150 game and average 110 for the rest of the season, his definately capable. .....

He wasn't the only one in my team who did that either.

If you picked him you have to stick it out i reckon, not viable having 2 months to decide on your options and then second guessing after 1 or 2 weeks.
