"Liam Pickering has denied reports that North Melbourne have shown interest in recruiting Collingwood defender Darcy Moore.

According to a report in the Herald Sun, the Kangaroos are keen on luring the out-of-contract Magpie to Arden Street to bolster their defensive stocks.

When asked on SEN Breakfast whether there was any truth that North had enquired about securing the services of Moore, Pickering poured cold water on the rumours.

“If they have, they haven’t done it with me,” he revealed.

“I haven’t spoken to North.”

Pickering also rejected claims that Carlton are also interested in Moore, something which suprised Essendon great Tim Watson.

"Why wouldn’t Carlton, with where they’re at right now, just be enquiring about somebody like Darcy Moore?" Watson said.

Garry Lyon agreed.

"I would make that enquiry no questions about that," Lyon added.

Moore has been courted by a number of clubs, with Sydney also emerging as a potential destination for the 22-year-old.

Pickering has stated he is confident that Moore will re-sign with the Pies."

Hah, looks like old mate Ralphy is getting a bit worried if he’s resorting to fabricating stories about clubs being interested in Moore to drive his price up.

I would too but IF he did leave getting Pick 1 would make it Possible to get his Replacment in Luckicoius

Carlton wont give up number 1 Dave.

Honestly, Watson and Lyon are fools. Wondering why Carlton, who have Curnow, McKay, Weitering, Marchbank, and access to Lukosious, are not chasing Moore....

Well I think that be a Mistake by Carlton
Unless you think Moore will be better than Lukosious, I’m not sure how you could possibly regard that as a mistake.

Never said anything like that, calm down fellas. Just found it interesting, probably only a coincidence.

Interesting that you were jumped all over for your post, but last year Wells playing in 10 matches for 7 wins or something was posted half a million times as some sort badge of honour. Absolutely bizarre, IMO.

I say about the Same and Carlton need more then 1 Gun Prospect

If Carlton need more than 1 gun prospect then why would they trade Lukosious (pick 1) for Moore? They’d be better off trading for two picks later in the top 10.

Moore has played in 6 matches this year, 5 have been losses. And the sole win he played in (brisbane) i think he got injured in the first half

'For more on this subject, we go now to tonight's special guest, former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli...'

I would rather Moore thanks TD.
That might have been reasonable a few years ago but the reality he hasn't progressed in the last 2 years. That may be due to injury but given his injuiry history why wouldn't you take pick 1 and take the KP player on offer while pocketing the salary difefrence and going after Lynch/May?

I don;t really want to see Moore go but for pick 1 and then taking a free agent it's a good deal. That said, pick 1 wouldn't be on the table - at least not without another player and a first round pick in the deal in which case it's a no from me.

He just needs to get his body right and get a clear run at it.

Easier said than done for him I agree.
