Darren Milburn - once a dog, always a dog

Remove this Banner Ad

A few years ago performed one of the most disgraceful acts on the field we've ever seen on Silvagni.

In today's grand final, he nows turns toward dogging umpires and his own teammates, costing them a goal, and in the process acting as if he touched a clear st kilda goal.

Once a dog, always a dog, and will forever be remembered as one.

twice a premiership player, always a premiership player :D

If Mooney smashed Gilbert in the jaw, he'd have been in hospital on Saturday night eating through a straw.

My 5 year old nephew would hit harder than Mooney hit Gilbert.

Darren Milburn set Carlton back 15 Years with that hit. :D:D:thumbsu:

Their defence has never recovered and they are now a pack of downhill skiers who squibb at the hard ball. :thumbsu::)

Agree with the sentiments posted in this thread, probably the player I respect the least in the whole league. I'll be glad when he retires and we never have to see his feral mug again.
His mother did a poor job raising him because to be honest he is a c**t of a bloke.

Know him personally do you? No? #### off then idiot.

ur mother is a dog. go cats:)

What a fantastic bloke Dasher is, he missed the team song to take his kids around an extended lap of the MCG, in the process talking to, signing shirts/pictures for, taking pictures with or high fiving just about every fan near the boundary around the ground. Even when his teammates were long gone, he was still out there with his two kids, letting them share in the glory and gave every fan the time of day. We thought it was a clear sign it was his last game, but having signed a new contract for next year it just shows what a quiet and thoughtful guy he is.

Yeah, he hit a guy nearly a decade ago, time to move on isn't it? He's only been suspended twice in his 13 year career.

That free kick was nothing short of disgraceful, the umps ignore obvious free kicks because they probably don't want to stuff up in a Grand Final, yet they give a free goal, not a free kick, but a free goal, because he was arguing about a goal umpiring decision. Report him maybe, or even do a free kick from the center if you're feeling particularly pissed off, but don't give a club an extra goal for backchat outside play.

In the list of violent clashes thast game has seen, Dasher's doesn't even make the top 20.

Facts are completely irrelevant on Bay 13.
Miburn is a dog because he plays for Geelong, and Geelong are the premiers and it is your turn to be trolled for the next 12 months.
Do you expect me to troll soft targets like the Saints ?

Anyway, Geelong need to win the 2010 flag to shake off the Handbagger tag.
They then need to win the 2010 & 2011 flags to earn the right to be compared to Brisbane.

Now harden up !

Port Adelaide had a dog called Byron Pickett, who was famous for running past the ball to take out the player. People thought he was tough but if he played now would be rubbed out every time he played. Ironically, one day at Geelong Byron the dog did his usual act of taking his eyes off the ball and taking out the man. That man was Darren Milburn who had his eyes firmly on the ball and suffered severe concussion and a serious shoulder injury. What Byron the dog did that day would be worth 6-8 weeks these days. I havn't heard Geelong supporters whingeing about it years later like the Silvagni thing. Anyway, i know people will disagree but go back and look at the video of the Milburn hit on Silvagni. Silvagni has a good look and puts in 3 or 4 short ones. Milburn believes it is going to be a normal collision, the mistake he makes is to jump so both feet are off the ground. I have always thought that what he did was more a miscalculation rather than a dog act. And as i said Silvagni made it worse by putting in the short steps, which by the way is something Milburn never does. Milburn is greatly respected by everyone at Geelong and would have more character in his little finger than a total f...wit like you,not to mention your team who showed absolutely none this year!

If the price to be paid for my team winning a flag is to be trolled all year, then bring it on. Awwww, it hurts so bad when they troll us after winning the flag for the second time in three years.

We don't care about being compared to anyone. We are enjoying our flag, and the prospect of more to come.

Your club can't even crack a shot at the GF, and has to resort to drafting over-rated, two-time rejects like Barry Hall in a desperate attempt to get to the GF and save Eade's career before the inevitible premiership window shuts on your mob and its bunch of receivers.

Milburn now has two medals. How many is your diving smiling assassin going to end up with ?

Compared? Surely if we get a three-peat (2009-2010-2011) AND include 2007 we'll be a better team than the 2001-2004 Lions? Five straight Grand Finals for four wins? Hell, why not have a crack at Hawthorn's seven consecutive Grand Final appearances (1983-1989)?

Not that the lid's off or anything...
