Be good if they were as Cuprona play them this week but seriously I think that like a few they are struggling with numbers early but to my knowledge they are still going, apparently Patto does not want blokes doubling up and even if they have 14 a side this week which constitutes a game against the Dogs this week , they may be able to do it.Cuprona will struggle this week being down there as they have had a massive ring around but most this week, which is fair enough if they have not committed to play the season, have "Quennstownitis" which is a little bit worsr than "Yollaitis" which is an infliction from Langley Park !:):footy:
Don't know about yollaitis but remember chalky had a infection called fitzyitis?

I think the Darwin and CHFL should join together and let the CHFL under age should still play locally or join NTFL.NWFA seams to be going alright looking from the outside in but the NTFL needs two more team one from Burnie and one from Devonport Latrobe area.Like South Burnie from the Darwin and Spreyton from NWFA.

even if the ntfl came looking for south to join the ntfl again there would be no chance. once bitten twice shy. they promised the world last time but when it came to the crunch they went missing. the hawks are happy in the darwin

yep they did. didnt have the money to get players there and it is a big step up in standard. core group of players were darwin players. good did come out of it cause we got an underage team which got young players to our club. we still would like an underage team now but cant compete with burnie who have a link with freo and can offer the kids a trip over to freo to play in a tournement. hence the fact burnie had 40 kids signed up to play last year and we had a dozen. it would of been wrong to try to play against other teams with those numbers

Not so long ago there were two senior clubs in Burnie. Each with 4 teams seniors, reserves, U19 & U17 (approximately 100 players for each club) Total 200 players. One club was in the State league and one was in the NTFL and owned a busy pub. Now Burnie FC has three teams -seniors U18 and U17. South stepped up after two premierships in the DFA to provide opportunity to players. With no money and a club divided because of the decision to change competitions. Starting with Two teams -40 players It was always going to be tough. They didnt go missing they stepped up.

well what a round aye might shut a few people up on here haha:footy:

Yeah it was good to see the Dogs competitive on the weekend - a good start to the season for them which will hopefull take some pressure off and make the critics back off a bit. Was it there first reserves win at Queeny???

Somerset were off to a slow start in the first half with the coach not too happy at half time - they improved in the second half & will take them a few weeks to get used to the coach's new ideas. Playing Yolla, South & Natone the next 3 weeks will be tough and will test their young guys (Cann, Yates & Wilson all 17 or under).

"Flabby" Fieldsy will be better for the run too! :D

Can anybody remember the ridgely ******s name that got on here straight after the grand final last year and ripped into a heap of natone blokes about losing ? Or has he gone down the same path as the there football club copped a floging. Oh and yeah dezzy do u belive me now that azza butler isn't flag chasing or do u still really believe that u are in with another shot ?

Was you at the game as rumour has it there was an all in brawl before the ball was bounced and what happened to Ridgley the names in the paper suggested they still had a the core blokes. How did the ex roo Mitch bessell go.

saints mus be werse than i thougt thay would be cause natone havent got much have thay

Anyone comment on the new umpires on saturday, was watchin somerset and yeoman and they had 2 new ones. They were good compared to last year although they looked a little nervous and thought the rules were like the days when they played as no advantage rule was given when there were numerous oppurtunities, other than that they were hardly noticed the whay it should be.

So the Two super coach's at Ridgley copped a BBBBelting in their first game. Why doesn't that surprise me. Roos to be the sleeping Giants! Good to see a bit of bark in the dogs.

Mitch Bessel wouldn't get a kick in a karate competition his missus made more noise then him. And na no all in brawl just big Olly didn't like the saints to close to the huddle so he let em no about it. And Darwin man your a knob but most people here already no that

Mitch was off after 15 minutes (had his hand trodden apparently) and took no further part. Ben Hayes did a knee in the first quarter as well. A tough start to the year for the Saints.

yea a lost will shut peeple up u idiot
did u see the hawks now thats gunna shut u up haha

was a competetive "lost" haha
yeah saw the result i predict a south burnie natone grand final with the latter being the winner thatll shut a few up

after being hard to beat the last few years its was a surprise to see ridgley get beating by so much heard they were struggling for numbers all the other games pretty much went as predicted days of queenie winning at home are all but gone

Can anyone shed any light on how many were missing from the Saints and Natone on Saturday from the granny last year and any other ins Natone had apart from Leatherbarow, Please.Natone being runners up are always going to be up there and good recruiting with Bangers as they now have a target to go long to with their potent midfield. Results were pretty much expected I would have thought and Somerset at Yolla this week will be a beauty. Dogs had 4 double up bit a few more available this week at home but a tough gig against the Maggies, usual suspect good for the Crows down there, Schulzy, Patto, Jiz,number44-quick,and Jono. interesting as always as to how they travel.Jensen and Mick Chettle umpired well first up, sun was out so not a bad day
