i guess u saw as much as the umpire who had his back to it. if the umpires had controll of the game these things wouldnt happen. players retalliate for a reason but as the umpire didnt see it, the evidence tonight could be interesting. and king hit, what a joke, heathy had hold of the front of his jumper when he got hit. he has looking at him so dont call it a king hit cause u are blowing it out of proportion
Can't say i saw the incident was watching wooldridge come off with shoulder as most people, but was told by one player he came from behind and hit him, plus a group of young fellas on aback of a ute were going crook how weak it was wouldn't think that would be the case if it was toe to toe.

As always, varying sides to what actually happened, we will have to wait for the tribunal to take its natural course next week pending the availability of those concerned. Was Macca offered the 2 week set penalty because if he was and said no I would bet my left nut he will get a minimum of 3

If he was offered a set penalty he would not have known because he left the ground that quick I don`t think he got out of his footy gear. ;)

they dont say anything to chalky he has not kicked a goal this year or any year for that matter up at yolla fitzy always had his measure
Kicked 11 in 2008 up at yolla. Got the 3 umpires votes that game 2. Somerset won by 100 points in their first win up there for years. Short memories you blokes have!

Watched todays match and the leading person on the ground " tearing it up " for the Darwin today was the Darwin umpire , Mike Hardy. What a champion he is , no thats not the word I was after its another word that starts with ch ! . Disgraceful display in what was otherwise a great game played in great spirit , bring on more of the same next year but preferably with neutral umpires. ( NWFA ump Pearce would also get a fairly average report card also ! )

Yes, it looked like their was a couple of indifferent decisions at times as with theUnders as well.As with the players having to step up to the plate so do the umpires but overall, apart from the cold, a pretty good day.DFA certainly improved as much as the NWFA had dropped off with a fewof their quality players from last year not playing eg Holland,Wall, Hambledon, Murray etc.Baldock was crowded a little in the Darwin forward line but the NWFA boys created and used that space a bit better even though big Mark King was giving our boys the pill at the stoppages and centre bounces.Looks like having coaches not involved directly with Clubs is the way to go as it was good to see players from lower Clubs which does not affect their actual playing ability given the opportunity eg Cross, Jacobson , De Vries to name a couple-Rep footy now alive again

How many did Baldock end up kicking Moocher?

Kicked 3, missed one from about 20 out in front but in to the wind, couple of other points and had a couple of shots a bit far out towards the cemetry end. Wesseelson played well on him but delivery not that great.Gardiner would have taken 10-15 markson a good player in Johns and was by far the DFAs most effective forward.

Looked like alot of the time baldy had to contest with 2 some times 3 nwfa players, should of left some loose dfa players.

Yes this was the case however the Darwin blokes were caught between the two half back or half forward lines and were not prepared to run hard enough offensively and defensively to get front and square, NWFA backs filled the space in front of Baldy quite well.

Who would you have picked instead of those guys?
Apart from Wooldridge and Coulson I thought the side was perfect in regards to selection.Buddah was picked to kick goals if needed and did, Jake has been one of Cupronas better players in a side getting touched up every week and provided pace at the weekend whilst Kodey French was a back up tall come forward or come backman and you may as well give a young bloke experience

will be interesting to see what the darwin does to the 3 or 4 guys that did not make themselves available for the rep game. if they stick to the agreement made at the start of the season all should get two weeks. we will see if the new executive have the balls past commitees have lacked
