matty wooldridge broke his arm yesterday out for season according to reliable source anyone have more info

Plus about 10 blokes from the two's could come into the senior team and have an impact! Raynor Crawford Wilkins Smith Hubbard Findlay to name a few!
Coulda, woulda, shoulda, blah,blah,blah-wont because they dont need to because of the great depth at the club, what odds on the double at Wivenhoe this year ?Next thing the NTFL will want them back, half their team could play at that level easily, hats off to what must be a pro-active committee helped by the conveniance of a super ground close to town.If the twos continue on their way, and they should, surely 5 in a row would have to be a DFA record ???

Big blow outs last week with goal umpires very busy in both seniors and reserves. Clubs cannot survive floggings like that and keep fronting up like that week in week out. can any one report whether or not is Ashley Dudman clear to play with Cuprona yet or is he still under a two year suspension.

What about some of the names running around at the weekend in the South Burnie twos-gee whiz, have they some depth out there:thumbsu:

I heard today Stubbys has been out for a couple of weeks due to his partner give birth to there child. To the rest of the players are in the two's due to form in the seniors. But there depth is strong with players to come back into both sides. Also heard that Brad Davis is still on the cards to play before finals. And would be a big lift for South Burnie Flag chances;)

speaking of players in the 2s cuprona putting together some good names.see dave jacabson in 2s he double up or has chalky gone back on his word?whos the blokes u talking about at south obviously in the 2s for a reason that reason they not good enough to play senior footy

Jake doubled up as they were short and is part of the 14 or 15 nominated so cannot play in the finals and yes the Cuprona 2s are putting together a reasonable side but will have to train together to be a serious threat which will be interesting as Cuprona no longer train on Tuesday nights due to lack of numbers which makes sense as Jake, Pazz and Freezer along with Tiger Hall travel from the East, lights are on and take $40 0ver the bar-might as well have a serious crack on Thursday nights and not waste both time and money. The Masters train at Heybridge on Wednesday nights then put around $150 over the bar so all the Dogs are welcome to join in with them on top of normal training on the Thursday, most teams are struggling to get numbers on the track this time of the year and economics suggest the Dogs get together both nighjts again come Finals team with the Ressies

Bogga was never "officially" deregistered or suspended by South or the DFA.Yes, he played with the now defunct Trowutta Bulldogs under another name by his own admission BUT the paper trail is all wrong. There is a fair bit of heresay and the appeals board had a meeting last week with all concerned but as yet no decision has been made.Obviously the league must be run and adhered to by the Constitution but the "process" and subsequent actions must be done correctly and if there are certain things not "in writing" or signed off on, then stuff would certainly not hold up in a "proper" Court of Law.The Cuprona Fc would not be pursuing this path if everything had been done correctly, anyway , as it stands Dudman continues to train and is hoping to have a kick in the near or not so distant future

should be an interesting last 5 weeks with three sides fighting out for that coveted third spot one would have to think yolla have the edge but the game betweeen ridgley and somerset this weekend will go along way to eliminating one of these two from the race. somerset must win to remain in contention if they do the yolla somerset game in three weeks will be a blockbuster.

The Roos will go in as favourites this week I reckon as their midfield stacks up well against the Saints.2 horse race for the big one-Natone and South, Roos have improved since last year but so have the others.Would not read too much in to the Roos massive win V the Dogs last week as a the Dogs a long way from their best side currently. Are the Roos as "physical" as the others, yes, well coached and skillful with legspeed and look better with Rollsy as atarget up forward, good luck to all in the finals

Who the dogs missing, somerset were missing players to and i bet would be of better quality i reckon. The reason somerset won watching from the sidelines was the dogs werent one on one, flooded back with no success, dogs kicked to one side all day from kickouts and had no structures at all.Give credit where credit is due the dogs were crap and tried nothing different to be competitive and that comes down to how they were coached , the young blokes for the dogs would have learnt nothing from that game. 2 horse race you say somerset last played natone and south and combined only lost by 20 points i think all up. Dogs seem to be stacking the 2's and somerset 2's who were missing about 10 players still beat them by 100 points, dont say the dogs didnt have all their players because fact is that most teams are 3 to 4 players off their best side.

Pretty easy to comment from over the fence which is fair enough, Dogs not stacking twos, simply not playing those that cannot train or commit to a 2pm start.Structures will only work with cattle on the paddock and the kickouts were to thr defensive side where the players were istrucet to rin to , whether they do or not does not neccesarily become the Coaches problem.Ask the young players why they prefer to play Seniors rather than seconds as they are willing to listen and learn, its not always about what the scoreboard says and a couple of the younger ones will play extra games in the finals with the reserves which will enhance their development.Yes, point taken with players missing but Freezer Devries, Asley Macintosh and the like are good players with experience and for the Dogs to have one 14 year old, one fifteen year old , one 19 year old , one 18 year old and a couple more under 20 is good for the comp,Maybe they were crap as you have aptly put it but at least they are still in the comp this year thanks to a select few and in fact went upstairs for a sip unlike a few other clubs are not doing in the competition, at least the club knows what direction it is heading and not taking the easy way out AND being open with their "salary cap "

I still think it is a two horse race but am happy to be proven wrong:thumbsu:

Good points moocher the dogs wont finish bottom because they are fielding two teams and also they are supporting other clubs after the game something that queenstown and yeoman could be better at. The last game against queeny only three players found there way into the somerset rooms very poor really after the roos changed games with them. But i think you are right moocher the dogs are heading in the right direction it just takes time hopefully the core group from this year will stay together and the dogs will be stronger next year. Maybe yeoman could take a leaf from the doggies book and sort out the off field shit and get two sides together and not have 6 or 8 double up each week.

Your comment in a previous post was dont take to much into somerset flogging the dogs as they are missing players, the post i wrote was because you paid no respect to how somerset played and seemed like looking for an excuse re Devries, macintosh and the like, what about somerset with Matthews, Innes and the like, and talking of age 12 (maybe more) somerset guys played are 21 or under.

Exactly right Mooch. If you don't want to put in the hard yards and train consistently, you don't deserve to play seniors. I f you want to slack off and expect a game, you should probably **** off too. Unfortunately and it is not only happening at the kennel, players just rock up on a Saturday and think, I don;t train I just want a kick and think it is their given right to be given a game be it seniors or reserves. Not all clubs have the luxury of south where they all want to play and there is maybe 10-14 guys missing a game each week, so they can get away with a little, which erodes the club as a club. Credit to Cuprona for playing only guys that train, and shame on the guys who don't train because they don't want to play seniors. I can understand if you don't want to play highest level available, but at least let it be known to hte coaching staff. And this is not only happening at Cuprona, guys do this all the time. Fair enough if you only want to run around and get a kick, but if you good enough to run around and get a kick at any level, have a crack at the 1's. Less likely to get an injury in the seniors than reserves. And yes I was guilty of that during my (if you can call it this) career. But don't bag clubs because they are supposedly loading their reserves. One question how is Cuprona loading their reserves????

No disrespect meant to Somerset at all, just stating that there is a fair gap between the two especially on the day and South are a better side than the Roos yet beat the Dogs by less-if the Dogs had played like they did this week against the Hawks, the margin would have been less against the Roos last week and for the record this week V the Crowa down there , Cuprona will be short in both sides and blokes will double up in both games so are the stacking the Seniors as well as the twos ?There are NO excuses at Heybridge this year
