Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

RUMOURS ABOUND ABOUT YOUNG DUDMAN :confused::confused: WE WILL FIND OUT IN DUE COURSE NO DOUBT, YOU CANT KEEP THINGS LIKE THAT SECRET FOR LONG IN THE BURNIE AREA
If indeed it was Dudman they would have had trouble actually catching him to get his identity as he is very quick !

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Whats up with Cupronas rooms? Their rooms always were low-cash substandard though, same as Natones old hall at the town end. (No offence intended to either parties). They condemned or something? Thats pretty cocky of the lad to play in the circus head league too! Burnie is one big gossip haven so word will get around quick smart

Not content with the 200 point win canteenman lol?

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

I haven't read much about the flogging that Somerset copped at the hands of Yolla the other week. I saw the first one and Somerset looked to have no heart in the heat of the battle then. I guess when Yolla turned up the pressure Somerset went to water again in this game too? Nice predictions by some of you guys who were saying how good Somerset were looking. :thumbsu:

**#@#@# umpires, dont worry they just dont hate blue and white stripes, they lend themselves to disliking the black and white stripes too :thumbsdown:our blokes were very harshly dealt with against south-disgracefull stuff.

As for u blokes beatn cuprona by 100,more like 200 wldnt it canteenman, there will be more interest in who wins the twos considering the doggies have been stuffing their twos sides up-i rkn brown needs a kick up the proverbial dropping back guys so the club can play in finals, what i seen up at home was very ordinary, heres a lesson for u browny,if u drop blokes back for the wrong reasons, it will ruin the club, bad enoug doing it anytime but doing it when ur not playing urself is bad form little fella, how u can sit watching ur so called ones team get smashed like they did at home, when ur not out there urself suffern the smashing ur club mates are copping just so ur ressies team plays finals

always been a bit of a brown fan, i know hes done a lot for the footy club the past cpl years but what hes doing now isnt good for the club or the comp. BOO

Yes Id have to say I agree with you a bit there arrow I went along again saturday and it was the usual 6 blokes that did all the hard work in the seniors and as everyone knows 6 players isnt going to win many games and as for browny I dont think itd be his doing with players dropping back to play 2s I think its some of the players themselves taking the easy way out rather than battle on in the 1s

On this particular day last week, Yolla were as good as Ridgley were against us in Rnd 1, that is, at the moment and on current form they are the second best team in the comp regardless of ladder positions and they are coming right at the business end of the season

i went up and watched saturday and i dont know where u was sitting but the umpires were pretty good i think south has good match ups for natone and natone just left it to late for to few players, and as for cuprona thats what happens when u play deadshit players big money.

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

:mad:how come its alright 4 all the other teams 2 do it over the years. cuprona has only dropped 2 players back and come finals im sure there will b more teams that do the same.

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Yeoman did it for years and years and years, stacking two's sides when I was a young tacker, as with Myalla. It is ordinary form but at the end of the day, it's the actual player's decision to do so. A coach won't just drop you, you would be consulted first and you would have to decide. Im sure there are plenty of senior footballers that would rather be smashed in the one's than play two's finals, me being one. I wouldn't just let a coach drop me on account of playing two's finals? Players would get the choice so it's their pea-hearted fault I say. Who agrees?

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

How can dropping players back back to the two's to make them eligible to play in a reserves premiership show that something good is happening! Here is an idea, get knocked out in the seniors, get hungry, train a bit harder over the pre-season and come back with an appetite for senior success! Clubs will stay at the bottom or mid range if they except mediocrity!

Fair call kickin, it is handy for Clubs to keep going throughout the finals but those that play in Reserves finals should hopefully push for Seniors the next year.Remember the DFA clubs have to nominate those that cannot go back or stay in the ones so the decision made as to eligability was most likely done weeks ago with only 2 roster games to go.There are a few that have played Ressys finals and gone on to great senior success, lokkat Clinton Brown from Burnie . on top of his 5 Senior Wins I am pretty sure he had a Reserves one as well, Clinton Stretton should have had several but always fluked his way in to the Seniors riding the tailcoats of Wilson , Davis, Archer and the like !

Quick to jump on the dogs, they arent the first team to do so, and no doubt wont be the last.

It is the first time in Brownys reign that this has happened, and who have they dropped back?.. They havent dropped back Braslin, McIntosh etc, have they?..

Ideally, its not good to see, and its probably not the best of things to see for the club going forward.. but after such a disapointing couple of years for both the seniors and the reserves, I dont begrudge them a bit of success, even if it is only in the 2s

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Im only new on here, but looking back at some recent comments involving the umpires, bloody hell fellas, get over it. Players, Coaches and yes Umpires can have an ordinary day, but nearly every game that is lost is because players dont perform, or make mistakes. We tend to criticise umpiring at all levels, Afl to DFA, and the same things are said, so dont take it too personally if your team gets harshly treated, maybe players could be a little smarter?????

From what i have seen of Cuprona this season, they are nothing short of disgraceful. No discipline, no direction, no hope !!!!!

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Isnt it great seeing Fish Denny back playing footy again!!! Very courageous and gutsy move by someone who obviously loves his footy. Will probably have another Premiership medallion around his kneck.

Yep it is and his beloved St Kilda also going really well, maybe a few Ridgley supporters will think twice about mouthing Slappa as the injury was not career threatening after all !Fish will strengthen their already strong on ball brigade and of the current players he has put in most of all off the field I reckon, as stated previously it is just a matter of who they play in the Granny

Dont think any players actually bag the umps a lot of people on this forum are probably ex players and or supporters, what do the public reckon about this week Somerset v Cuprona under lights, geez it will be cold and slippery, why not play at Somerset Saturday as Natone did recently, will all players be available-I seriously doubt it !
