Herd a rumor Coulson maybe off to Latrobe with a few followers anyone herd anything
You beauty, a few of the taggers he has continually towelled up in the DFA can rest a bit easier now and you would think but in no way being disrespectful to who may coach Ridgley next year that they will not be as good as Couls and Barnsy which augers well for all opposition clubs

Arch and Srett can compare notes over the summer whilst sharing the new pill with Yolla B Grade !

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

15k for Big Brad may be a tad too much for the roos next year!
South may find it though.

Apparently the big fellah (along with others) played up a bit at West Park after the Dockers loss on the weekend. $15k (if correct) is a lot of $$$ for anyone - you'd hope someone getting that much wouldn't get carried away when they get on the gas (if that is what happened).

Too much in a 14 game roster

I believe the DFA executive have openly stated they are committed to a 16 or 18 game roster next year (no lghtening premiership) which is good news - I don't think anyone was happy with this years set up

Yep, have it on good authority the DFA in talks with CHFA , those boys to play Queeny in Burnie and maybe only once a year but they play each other more than once as well as our boys.Would be good as noone gives arats toss about the Lightning Premiership and 14 has been a tad shy for a season

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Any word out of the Park on the Statewide B and F still kickin, Murf, Browny and Daza still in contention I think-surely Webberley or somebody from Hobart will win it ?Also, will Plapp stay as a non-playing coach or is he headed across the water ?

Browny and Daza are, Murf can't win it, he was suspended during the year. My pick is Webberley or Bowring, my dark horse is Kurt Heazlewood from Devonport. The word is he has been told he has to be there. Plapp will move onto bigger and better things next year for sure. I hear Clinton Stretton could be the first President/Coach in the TSL.

Plapp deserves a huge pat on the back considering what he has had to put up with off the ground. A person presently on the Burnie board was sitting in a local hotel barracking for Clarence on Saturday. Can you believe that.

That way he Stretton can miss all the pre season and be guaranteed a senior game. Gee he would like that. Brown for the medal followed by Webberley Bowering and Heazlewood.

Strett would have to confirm this with his 3 confidats, Docker 5, Desy Hodgetts and Clay Young , hope Plappy mows his lawn before he goes !

Geez if Browny won he would have the most votes , most hits to the head received and most frees for !Seriously, he can play , maybe needs to work on his leg speed over the summer ?

Plappy is an absolute champion. He has done a great job with Burnie. Before he came on board the Dockers were going nowhere and they had missed the finals the two previous years. Some people are forgetting what he has achieved and to hear there are certain people stabbing him in the back makes me sick!

I can believe that. I had no time for the ones when I played u18's at Burnie. They were a different bunch at the time though. Had Darren Winter coaching - and what a role model for us kids! Taught us how to king hit blokes:D At least when I witnessed Plappy pushing Matty Wooldridge in the face in Siroccos it was front on:D:D:D Then you get blokes like Pat Sweeny who walk around Burnie with chests out like they were ex-afl players! Any wonder
