Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

South Burnie will have a lot of players miss out each week so some of their players should help cuprona and yeoman out so that they are not short of players and so the darwin doesnt loose any more clubs.;)

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

I think that mouse butler is assistant coach of castra because someone who plays cricket at ridgley is coaching castra.:footy:
That would be Nathan Gibson I reckon but you could cut in half of what he will actually get of what he has been promised !

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Checked out the Somerset practice match last night. 36 players but didn't look like many of last years seniors were there with the exception of Dobson, Radford, Johnstone, French & Hay (Aaron Jones & Slapper Mathews were there but didn't play). Looks like they've got some new faces from Wynyard & Smithton running about & Adam Yates & Kirk Hampton have returned. Timmy Mac looked in good shape - will get his share of kicks this year if he stays fit :thumbsu:

Am led to believe Hampton may miss a few games mid year, heard at an Acton game Jones has retired due to knee soreness as opposed to general soreness,Timmy Mac is a proper "superstar" as opposed to others mentioned on here as he has played in 3 successive Premierships with the Dockers when they were a fair bit stronger than now as well as Devils and Mariners and an even better bloke but an ordinary cricketer so I have been told !

18 games will give these blokes opportunity due to lack of or drop off of form and unavailability.Everyone should get off Souths back and maybe learn from their ability to successfully recruit

Probably the worst A-Grade Coastal cricketer ever. Terrific human though.

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

There's been a bit of talk about player movements at South, Ridgley, Somerset & Cuprona. Has anyone heard what's happening at Yolla & Natone? Will they have better or worse line ups than last year?

Both better, Yolla will certainly be coached better and if Duffy stays as an assistant at Natone they will be guided very well too, Cupronas only only movements are away from the place !

Have either Yolla or Natone lost players that you know of Mooch?

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Hows Cuprona taking shape ive been away the last month and since being back ive heard theyve lost a lot of players and havent had many at training which is a shame considering all the work that was being done off the field before i left, so which senior players from last year are still there? and which clubs have the departees gone to?

Bloom and Denzil Devries to Natone, Browny to Turners Beach and part of the coaching panel, Big Canny to Penguin, Braslin back to South Burnie, Pattie unknown, Harris unknown and suspended, Daggy Wall to West Ulverstone, Damo Grey-unsure, Blair Kaine verbally agreed but unsighted thus far at training.Dion Everitt is back, Freezer will play Seniors all year, Ash Howard may be coming back once Acton have finished in the cricket, Towna is training, Mark Webster SHOULD be training, Clark Radford gone, John Radford staying, Andrew Rossiter back playing, Shane Dunham has trained and Scotty Creedon has verbally agreed once cricket finishes, Steve Schumann to play again, Davie Smart to play again if cleared from Natone, David Shooey playing again, Ross Mawer-unknown, Cowboy Kaine-unknown, Adam DeVries is training, Robin Dunstan is playing again, Dwayne Wells trained prior to Christmas but unsure if actually playing, Pazz back training, Darren Rossiter to make a comeback, hopefully this covers most of them, if not I am sure those that are not leaving can turn up Mondays and Wednesdays at Heybridge under the guidance of one of the assistant coaches give the resposibility to take pre-season while Chalky fulfills his cricket commitments in Jack Riley along woth thye help of Jake Jacobson
