Eddie had a go at Port's history on air and basically said the Power was founded in 1996 and left the real Port Adelaide bankrupt in the SANFL. Kochie said nothing in reply so Greg Boulton put the record straight.

In his article Rucci missed on the connection with Bomber Clifford, Russell Johnston, Paul Rizonico and of course the great Murray Batt. Paul Rizonico was actually born in Semaphore but played for Collingwood before coming across to Port.

Koch doesn't have the stones to take on Eddie Everywhere or Gil, happy to be wrong, particularly given the sensational work by Chiwigi and co, but the signs are unfortunately there that we are fast approaching a situation where he will accept some sort of pathetic compromise.

Assuming Koch is not silly enough to want to change the colours on the PB guernsey ( but I'm not 100% confident he wouldn't try that ), a `pathetic' compromise would in my opinion be either accepting a 1 or 2 off for the 150th celebrations and agreeing never to ask again, or shelving it voluntarily for another extended period of time.

I would be OK with it. If it is what Koch is able to achieve, so be it. At least, it is something. We would have two precedents.

Eddie has taken a lower profile on everything since he copped it severely for attacking the swans #1 ticket holder Cynthia Banham and double leg amputee about tossing the coin. I reckon that is part of the reason for his less bombastic language on this, compared to the past. Plus I suspect he has had a few discussions with Cos Cardone re next year and us using it for rhe 150th anniversary and knows Cos has a potential conflict of interest and doesn't want to expose him to the public questioning of it.

heh can you imagine Koch and co accept Eddies suggestion that instead of black and white we go with magneta and teal bars....
Holy shit I would not want to be Kochie or KT at the next home game after that is announced.
They would have to be literally the dumbest ****ing people on the planet to accept that. That would essentially be another rebranding. We already went through that bullshit with the current teal/white V on black..

We have piss weak leadership. If we had strong leaders running the club, we'd have come up with a proposal, maybe throw a bit of silver in there to break it up slightly without altering the bars being black and white, and offered a guarantee that we would never try to change our jumper or propose to use, to be simply black and white bars from top to bottom like Collingwoods. Our black and white bars would always be different from Collingwoods for X reasons.

But going back to an earlier comment, and the suggestion by Eddie that Port signed away its rights to the prison bars, if that were true...he would not be suggesting alternative colours.

What the proposal should also be, besides the above, is the dropping of the Power or Magpies names...and simply be the Port Adelaide Football Club.
That removes another element of their current or possible opposition, that being Magpies.

Sadly ****heads like Kochie aren't serious about this, and all they care about is another gimmicky load of horse shit to serve to the supporters and members, who they think will rush off to buy another one off jumper design.

Surely wearing a magenta or teal bars/pylon guernsey is a joke and Eddie's way of stirring the pot. Either of those options would not only look horrendous but would serve no purpose in celebrating our 150th.

Black with Silver bars/pylons would actually look pretty cool in my opinion as an alternate strip but not for the 150 year celebration. It's either black and white or nothing at all.
