What was said??Page 85 of today's Monopoly Times says it all. The headline reads, Boulton fires back At Ed. Greg Boulton has said what our current administration should be saying in the face of McGuire's ill informed version of events. If ever there was a contrast between what we once had and what we are saddled with now this is it. All I can say is...
Greg Boulton you are a legend!
Another nail in the Koch coffin as far as I am concerned.
What was said??
the bloody monopoly times, is there a link to this article that doesn't require payment?
“We’ll pay homage to the prison bars in a range of different ways — we haven’t really decided firmly in what ways — and we hope we can have a respectful discussion with Collingwood and the AFL on how we use it into the future.” (Koch)What was said??
Yeah there's not nearly as much bravado as previously. All his statements are basically begging for us to accept some compromise. You know Eddie is feeling a lot of heat over this issue when he starts playing the man instead of the ball. Up to this point he has always acknowledged our history, but simply didn’t want us wearing that jumper.
Something has definitely changed. He’s really behaving like a cornered, wounded animal.
No compromise at all. Don't be like Koch.Yeah there's not nearly as much bravado as previously. All his statements are basically begging for us to accept some compromise.
I have had really good teachers on you all.I have to give props to GremioPower
His grasp of not only the game but the associated convoluted politics is pretty impressive for someone on the other side of the world
If someone asked me about Brasilian Football about all I could offer up would be Pele, Ronaldo and 'Gooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaal'
Good work !

Eddie is being absolutely unreasonable, and that's Koch's reaction.
Define "compromise". Eddie is clear: not being black-and-white, he is ok with it. This position is absolutely ridiculous!Koch doesn't have the stones to take on Eddie Everywhere or Gil, happy to be wrong, particularly given the sensational work by Chiwigi and co, but the signs are unfortunately there that we are fast approaching a situation where he will accept some sort of pathetic compromise.
Was thinking the same, lashing out like a cornered animal. You know Eddie is feeling a lot of heat over this issue when he starts playing the man instead of the ball. Up to this point he has always acknowledged our history, but simply didn’t want us wearing that jumper.

I would be OK with it. If it is what Koch is able to achieve, so be it. At least, it is something. We would have two precedents.Assuming Koch is not silly enough to want to change the colours on the PB guernsey ( but I'm not 100% confident he wouldn't try that ), a `pathetic' compromise would in my opinion be either accepting a 1 or 2 off for the 150th celebrations and agreeing never to ask again, or shelving it voluntarily for another extended period of time.
Eddie has taken a lower profile on everything since he copped it severely for attacking the swans #1 ticket holder Cynthia Banham and double leg amputee about tossing the coin. I reckon that is part of the reason for his less bombastic language on this, compared to the past. Plus I suspect he has had a few discussions with Cos Cardone re next year and us using it for rhe 150th anniversary and knows Cos has a potential conflict of interest and doesn't want to expose him to the public questioning of it.You know Eddie is feeling a lot of heat over this issue when he starts playing the man instead of the ball. Up to this point he has always acknowledged our history, but simply didn’t want us wearing that jumper.

I reckon if the AFL brought back heritage round that would help us. The AFL community should be pushing for that.Remember the year the AFL told us to wear a training top for 'heritage' round?
That's as much a part of this fight as wearing the PBs. The disrespect is appalling.
The fight has just begun.
