****ing hell, he’s going to do something stupid isn’t he.

Need board members to tell him to straight bat anything regarding coaching this morning.

Kochie mentioned

  • That we are younger than the baby hawks.
  • Good club but not great.
  • Hinkley is a successful coach, just hasn't made a grand final.
  • Kochie hammered by supporters at the AGM before the season, but a lot of people thanked him during the Family Day.
  • We must play finals every year to give ourselves a chance to win the flag.
  • Ken is contracted for next year, that's it.
  • GFG a great partner that have followed through on all obligations as a sponsor.
  • We need to get fair value for Houston and it's been a mature process.

Basically…

-Ken has a contract for next year
-Coach exit meetings will happen late this week/early next week
-Ken is a successful coach who just hasn’t happened to make a grand final (lol)
-If we keep making finals we will eventually get lucky enough to win a premiership (lol)
-We were the youngest side in finals

To paraphrase:
"I'm David Koch and the rest of you know nothing."

No way koch wants to be seen as sacking ken, which is why he answers the ken question the same way a any club does when asked if they will trade a player who is speculating on leaving. They bring up " he has a contract" without assuring he will stay.
Then he gets traded. Similar thing here it will be made to look as kens choice

Noticeable change in previous messaging from "he's definitely our coach next year" to "he's contracted".

Surely he's gawn.

Dan Houston is contracted as well.
