Tom Morris reported Teague was the midcoach ? is that right ? and that Teague wanted more input on the fwd structure, Ooze n the club said no n so thats what tipped him,Teague ,over,is Newman the FWDS coach ?

He just doesn't have a great record. 2022-23 he was our ball movement coach. 2022 we scored well, but it killed our defence, and 2023 we were just shit. Then this year they take ball movement off him and give him the forward line, which hasn't really had much of a structure at all.

What to replace Yze? A premiership coach might be a bit overqualified.

Encouraged by AFL if out of contract and no renewal by August to start looking for another job.
Reading into it is as people including myself have been saying he was wood worming Yze and other assistants. Trying to do Newies job when he couldn’t do his own. I think he was playing mates with a lot of senior players as by the selection of constantly underperforming players and has lead to a lot of disharmony amongst the squad.
I was so in for Yze to have a completely new team at the beginning of the year , but we penny pinched and this is why nothing in selection or game plan has really changed and we are a lazy low pressure team statistically.
If they were not going to replace the whole team of assistants then they should’ve kept the status quo with mini until everyone is out of contract. A wasted year with a lot of unnecessary rife within the four walls is my seeing of this.
No Teague is the forwards coach, but wanted more input into ball movement (the role he had 2022-23). This is now part of Newy's role so Yze said no.

Jeepers, is there any factual evidence behind some of this, thats crazy.
Don't mind the idea but is Steve Morris a forward coach? Not sure Lambert or Lonergan are either? Jack R would have been ideal but he has Tasy. Internal shuffle or do they have someone waiting already? Interesting call either way. For lots of reasons, the forward line is and has been a shambles. A shake up was required.

Yes read between the lines it’s all in the article and the events with senior players this year starting from Dusty.
Would be a bad move to move Morro when we're still in the hunt for finals.

We penny pinch as a footy club. So I doubt we would target any good assistant coach.
Geelong go out and lure Rahilly back who’s viewed inside as the best assistant coach.
A good club does stuff like that. We about to promote a marketing guy as the CEO because, you know. We keep on Teague and Ratten who are simply Dimmas patsies and should have been gone at the end of the year last year.
This football club needs cleansing. Too many who are still bathing in bath water from that “era”. They will live on it.

The AFL Coaches' Association tells its members to "start looking" if they are out of contract on August 1. This mutual parting of ways allows Teague to do just this.
Cam Bruce and Troy Chaplin are both highly regarded with existing relationships with Yze.

The concern with Chaplin is that he would bring similar views to Yze across from the Dees.
I'd like someone that challenges the views.
