People want to keep him cause he played for us, if he didn't, there'd be no desire here to keep him.

What's the argument he's any good at his role?

weren’t we the highest scoring team in the comp a couple years back when he was forwards coach and we had a fit list

Just sayin
This year is the first year he's been forwards coach. 2022 you're referring to when he was ball movement coach. We scored heavily, but our defence leaked badly.

Can’t polish a turd then. What’s he supposed to do with the shit truck forward line we’ve got.

Anyway decisions being made but this list isn’t going anywhere in a hurry. I’d rather the focus being on the high performance side of the business to be honest

It’s a difficult one to judge because it was also an extremely strong forward line

Lynch was at the peak of his powers and Jack wasn’t over the hill yet Bolton and Dusty also played significant forward minutes that year as well

Was it good coaching or just the benefit of a well drilled and experienced forward line

He got that attack clicking though. It looked good. Had 1-2 years in it. We went for it and it didn’t work out.

I was all for it. Didn’t see the senior coach shitting his dacks nor did he I’d imagine

Lambo officially taking over the forward group. If he stays on, he is going to do absolute wonders for guys like Steely, Mansell and Campbell. Better start getting ready to do a lot of running boys!
Back to the days where we just outwork and grin oppo into the ground, this guys set that standard IMO

Correct.
We were a decent scoring side when Teague was overseeing it.
I believe Newman is doing most of this now.
I think anyone who had this role was destined for failure this year though. We just haven’t had anyone on the park for long enough.

It’s a good time to move on some higher paid assistants. We don’t experienced strategic coaches with where our list is at. We need development coaches to get our list up to speed.

We were a poor scoring side last year when Teague was in charge of ball movement.

Would need to be Jesus H Christ himself to make our forward line work when you are building with Kozi and Ryan as your kpfs
It's not really about that though.
There was no actual ingenuity to our forward 50 entries because no one tried to lead or anything. It would just get blasted in. No leading lanes, no diversionary tactics, nothing.
It was just bomb it in and everyone converge under the ball. Just a big game of markers up.

BOMBERS ASSISTANT EYES OPTIONS

ESSENDON VFL coach Blake Caracella could make a return to Richmond as an assistant coach.

Caracella, who is out of contract at Essendon after steering its VFL team this season, is understood to have had discussions with the Tigers on a possible return to Punt Road.

The 2000 Bombers premiership player is assessing coaching options for 2025.

Richmond is surveying its assistant candidates after the exit of former Carlton coach David Teague last month left at least one vacancy on Adem Yze's coaching panel.

Caracella has been an assistant coach at Collingwood, Geelong and then Richmond, where he joined in 2017 and served as an offence coach in two of the Tigers' premiership campaigns.

He then joined the Bombers' coaching panel in 2020 and has been at the club since, including taking the reins for a senior game in 2022 when then senior coach Ben Rutten was unavailable under health and safety protocols.

The 187-gamer, who also won a premiership with Brisbane and finished his career with Collingwood, will coach what is likely to be Essendon VFL's final game on Sunday.

In the team will be his son, Noah, who will make his VFL debut after playing this season with the Geelong Falcons. Noah is eligible to join the Bombers as a father-son selection this year. – Callum Twomey
