Absolutely.

The only reason umpires exist is because when the game was conceived the technology to make the decisions with 100% accuracy didn't exist (it still doesn't).

How many people go to a library to get a book on something these days when they can just go to wikipedia?

The decisions of the on field umpires have already become irrelevant in certain cases (run outs/stumpings/bump ball/ground catches). I think they should be able to do the same things with bat pad etc as well.

I was just typing the one thing I don't like about Warner's technique is that his keeps his front leg way too straight which means his balance won't always be the best and he'll edge them falling forward.
