There's a lot that hasn't been touched on in this thread probably because we've continually been sidetracked by the bullshit from a section of Lions posters.

I'm almost done for the night, but I need to impress on people don't turn on Dayne. Unlike Daisy who was the master of his own destiny Dayne has been caught in a big power play!

Agreed. He's just a young bloke who looked up to the rat pack, a lot of whom have been moved on. Add that to the pay packet and his father and it can't be a great time for him.

Those words in the Pies statement indicating that Brisbane didn't value him as high as we do, hopefully that's the position that'll help turn him around. He could be playing for us next year anyway so we don't want to turn on him completely... yet lol.

They refused this deal because they wouldn't hand over Pick 5 (Beams), Pick 21 (Christensen) & Pick 25 (Pick 30 & Pick 48).

Just thinking about the 5+21+25 deal that we apparently publicly stated we would have accepted. This could have been a well played hand by Collingwood. They might have thought that the Bears would not accept it, as they needed 21/25 to snare Christensen, if so well played. And even if they did accept we get three draft picks to either trade on for players or use. Not ideal but worth the risk as it makes us look all the more accommodating.
