Didn’t realise Matt Reeves is involved as executive producer.

I wonder what sort of tidbits in this series will be a hint to how the sequel will play out. Especially character appearances.

Interesting because the cartoon also uses POC Gordon.

I rolled my eyes for a second at the gender swap, but kind of gives the character bit of extra sass. Agreed it's good

Only got a handful of eps to go, really enjoyed it though.

They've gone quite diverse in characters but not so much you really notice (or at least I don't). Penguin was female, Jim/Barbara black, Harley Quinn looks Asian and is gay etc.

Been pretty dark and getting to see Batman the detective is fun.

Already had high expectations given what I’ve read about it. Yet it still surpassed. That was brilliant. Let Reeves cook as much as he wants in this pocket of the universe. Farrell is in his element here.

The reviews ive seen of Joker 2 have been far from promising I have feeling it might be a box office flop.

I always had reservations about it being a musical but to hear that the song choices dont push the narrative forward and only interrupt the story from a couple of reviewers sounds worse than I imagined. It was also said that Phillips is out of his depth when it comes to musicals. On the positive there are apparently a few brilliant moments and Joaquin is still great in the role but its a bit of a mess.

Seeing it tomorrow morning, it has quietly crept up. Five years already since the original geez that’s gone quick.

Penguin series continue to be brilliant by the way. That opening scene of the second episode, damn. The cast are all brining their A game. Cristin Milioti’s use of her eyes at times when she’s on the precipice of losing her shit is a particular stand out.

Turning the Joker sequel into a musical has to be one of the most insane artistic directions ever seen.

Sitting at a 6.0 on IMDB. That’s ridiculously low.

I’ll reserve judgement until I see it but it’s looking like it backfired. Massively.
