He looked excellent yesterday. Think the criticism of him in the past has been a bit over the top from external sources (due to the double edged sword of being a mature age draftee taken early), but seems to be regarded pretty highly by your coaching staff. I think he'll become a regular this year.

He still has to do it against a full strength AFL side (no offence to Port) and he seems to be on the right track, but in response to the question "can he become a contributor this year?" the answer is still closer to "yes, but" (for the reasons outlined earlier in this thread), rather than "yes, because", IMO.

I think of Towers Rohan and BJ 2 of them need to lock a spot down for good this year and one should just be cut at the end of the year or traded

Watch the play prior to Robinson's goal 3 mins before half time (Carlton-Swans rd 2016).
Towers ran from 20m from our goal chasing Curnow and applied pressure then continued on to tackle Gibbs on the defensive side of the square before getting up and running through the square before the goal assist to Robinson.

Doesn't panic when he has possession and tends to make good decisions now. Just needs to find ways to get more of the ball.

I think he'll turn out to be a good player for us. Just needs the confidence to back himself and feel like he belongs in the senior side.

Had a good game against Collingwood.
Thought he was pretty rubbish against Carlton. Yet to see the replay though, but barely noticed him at the ground and he turned it over whenever he did get it.

I think he offers its more grunt and running around the ground, whereas Reid offers more height and another marking target.
Rather Reid play wing than forward, but you just know that it's Towers spot to lose now.

Robinson will go before dean
Robinson will make way when for McVeigh, but he's shown that he can hack it at the top level
Robinson and Hewett are doing everything asked of them. Very proud of the young players this year. There will be numerous changes over the course of the year. It's just great to have some guys ready to do a job for us when the coach calls on them.
