Dunno what you're talking about with the last 24 months. We have overachieved massively in that period and made the Grand Final. If that hasn't been good enough for you, then I would say you have unrealistic expectations.

And it is an aberration. Geelong match up well against us and are simply better. The injuries to some of our key players haven't helped either. We're unlikely to lose by a 100 points to any other team this season. We're more than competitive against most and should still make the 8. All the doom mongering and death riding on here is ridiculous. For god's sake, control your emotions and get some perspective. It's not the end of the world. We'll bounce back like we always do.

hickey better than ladhams
rampe better than campbell
mccartin either better than blakey Gould
reid better then McLean.

the future is pretty bleak as three of those in the list above areon their last legs

and our midfield is horrible. Broken completely

heeney hasn’t played well since the h and a season last year.
pour wings who have been really good have been anonymous

the team is frankly rubbish currently which is partly due to what’s out but it’s worse than that as it’s likely to get worse before it gets better

Agree with you except for the whole we don't matchup well v them thing. We've matched up very well v them until last year's granny. Somethings been missing since that day, can't put a finger on it.

Had no trouble rolling over them from a deficit rd 3 last year. Sides with worse match ups and balance than us do not get destroyed consecutively by
81 & 93 points. It was uncompetitive. Simple as that and its on the players. Coaching staff were always going to go with what they thought was right re match ups going in undermanned. Not having an even number around the contest for long periods was frustrating though when it was clear how things were unfolding.

I don't know what the heck that elbow lifting, bumping action Warner has brought into his game the last few weeks is, but the sooner it goes the better. At best it's a soft and kinda cowardly way to avoid physical contact in a contest, at worst it's a dirty action that could take someone out and get himself suspended. Well the side has been rebuilding since around 2017 so what is another 5 yrs or so to build a spine ? So called young talent we have currently should be well and truly pissed up against the wall by then so All's good.

What I've seen of last night's game was no different to what I saw last weekend in September 2022.

I get its frustrating. However the illogical rants immediately post match are pretty shit.

I could pick heaps of swans games over the Longmire era that were incredibly frustrating. I can also pick a plethora of games that were the other direction in emotions.

Last night was a perfect storm for Geelong.
The swans were insipid.

Remember we were a freak gust of wind off a 4-2 start. Which i reckon everyone would have taken.

Bin the loss. Move on. Play with more heart.

Its that sort of season.

I agree with the sentiment of this Bomza, however I think it's easy to say people shouldn't post x y or z if you didn't watch the game yourself. There's a big difference between opening the AFL app and seeing we lost by 93 points, and actually watching it unfold before your eyes over 3 long, frustrating hours.

The melts that i was referring too weren't particular to any player . Nor were they constructive.
Melts never are.

They're sweeping negative generalisations .

I think its better to sleep on it. Gain a bit of clarity.
