I never said he was our sixth best player. I used his Copeland trophy finish last season to illustrate he is an important player, and is highly rated by the club.

He is important and does contribute a lot but his disposal at times is sloppy and he fumbles a bit under pressure. I think everyone is pretty much on the same page about him, I don't get what the argument is about. It's pretty clear his strengths and weaknesses.

Timmy was pretty close with his Norm Smith prediction.

He was just about best on ground for the quarter and a half he was on the ground (came on after Daniher knocked Brown out,and starred right up until when he himself was knocked out by the same bloke!!!!)
Starcevich continually played good finals.

Now I’m going to call this, being at this wonderful game in 1990.
If Craig Starcevich had played the full game that day, and stayed at the level he was giving that day, he’d have taken the Norm Smith with a unanimous top votes from every judge.
He was spectacularly good that fine day.

People were saying the same thing about Swan early in his career, and also Steele.
Fact is, some people focus too much on the negatives and don’t see the positives.

Finishing 6th in the Copeland is a bit more than just getting picked.

Makes you wonder why we ever got rid of Richard Cole, Marley Williams, Josh Smith and Jack Frost given they were top 10 finishers in the Copeland.

Oh right, so I guess that means every other Copeland top ten player in the history of the club is garbage. Maybe we should get rid of the Copeland altogether.

Where did I say that? Just highlighting that a top 10 Copeland finish may not necessarily hold as much meaning as you seem to imply. Can you explain to me how the voting system for the Copeland works, who gets to vote, and how many votes are cast each week?

Nah

I told him no updates, he'll have to read it on BF lol
You know I really do not understand him. Commenting on every single thing the club and players put on social media, liking comments that are critical of him, positioning himself as some kind of newsbreaker when he's just a kid who works at Woolies, copying tweets without a source....

Just a strange unit.

I just think he doesn't have much else in his life. A young guy who is anti social with anxiety. Doesn't get out much. But I do worry sometimes, he takes all this so seriously. My friends and I joke about it, how he actually thinks he is a newsbreaker. But it's also sad he thinks that too. But we let him believe such things if it makes him feel better.

I didn't realise he had those issues. The more you know, I guess.

Not so much class warfare now as cash warfare Saintly - the true snobs nowadays are wallet snobs.

It has nothing to do with class, purely and simply how much money mummy and daddy throw at private schools to buy their little darlings every advantage that can be bought.
Some no doubt do.
Some just believe that education stream is more beneficial than the public system and are prepared to pay for it.

I’m not in any camp other than letting people do what they wish if it’s legal.

No argument Saintly - I've had a fair bit to do with private schools over the years as customers covering the whole spectrum from religious through to purely privately run.

One thing they all teach their students is a belief in their unassailable superiority over their public funded contemporaries.

That hasn't changed since my childhood and won't.
